He says Usyk beats a Prime Ali. Ali was in his prime in the late 60s. Not 10 years later. Which Usyk do you think he's talking about? The one who beat Joshua? Or the one who beat Epifanio Mendoza or the one who got a majority decision over Briedis? Take your pick. None of them beat a Prime Ali. Found any video of Usyk beating anyone who fought like a Prime Ali?
You'd take the Usyk who won decisions over Gassiev or Glowacki against a Prime Muhammadi Ali? Okay. I wouldn't even choose Gassiev and Glowacki as sparring partners for someone preparing to fight a prime Muhammad Ali. They don't fight anything like him, or help you prepare to fight someone that fast or who moved like that. But that's me. You could spar the then #1 rated Karl Mildenberger in perparation for Usyk, however. This content is protected Here's Usyk-Chisora ... I mean Mildenberger-Walker. This content is protected
Grant was awful, a lot of guys Wilder sparked were Grant`s level, all he had was size, he was like Breazale.
Mildenbderger was nowhere near a skilled as Usyk, Usyk would only have to weight the same as Karl weighed to beat Ali, how much did Mildenberger weigh v Ali?
Nah Wilder probably kills Grant but Grant is much better than Breazeale. Breazale wouldn't drop Golota and beat Izon and Savarese. Breazeale has a better chin, thats all
Usyk left hand is held higher than Karl`s was and he control`s with his lead hand constantly, he also used angles against AJ and constant movement while in comparison Karl just wlked forwards in a straight line.
I'm not gonna say Usyk is guaranteed to beat Ali or vice versa. This is a very close hypothetical matchup.
I agree with this point a lot, geographically and training wise most of the world was way behind modern standards and loads of it didn't even get to compete in the pros so the sample size of quality fighters was much more limited.
Not true. Mildenberger used angles but using angles aren't that effective against a fighter with the reach and awkward foot work of an Ali.
