Has any Heavweight, before or since, moved as well as Muhammad Ali, for so many rounds?

Do Modern fighters move this well, for even 12 rounds? Personally, I've ever seen any Heavyweight move that way! Have you?

Would modern's extra size really help them against this sort of movement?

well bowe upperbody was way better
    tommy upper was better
    razor was better when young
fury is not as smooth but is unique in his being akward to

Roy Jones moved pretty well for 12. Don't know how he would compare step-for-step round-for-round, but probably fulfils some of the criteria.

No, no one moved quite like Ali, not at Heavyweight for sure.
That young Ali, dancing around the ring against Cleveland Williams was picture perfect.

Your comparing young Ali with Tommy Morrison and Ruddock?
    Not sure if that right?

Watching Ali dance around was a joy to watch. Fury can move for a big man, Usyk is a master mover and now a heavyweight so is well worth a mention.

I've seen the same phenomenon in the factory I managed, with Machine Operators. Examples:

Operator #1 had the job for 10 years. And he did it exactly the same every year, competent, but, eventually, the changes in procedure - both forward and backward (sometimes back to a procedure more than 10 years old) as dictated by the owners (for various reasons), caught up with him. He grumbled and called people stupid and idiots who tried to get him to change his thinking or learn anything different. He couldn't adjust to anything but repeating the same first year over and over again. He finally had to give up operating and take a cut in pay to become a trucker. It was either that or go look for another job elsewhere.

Operator #2, actually an older man than Operator #1, also had the same job for 10 years. But he kept his eyes and mind open to ideas different than his. He embraced new ideas and ways of thinking. If he disagreed with anything, he said so politely, gave his reasons coherently, but, in the end he did as he was told, and did it well. After 10 years he moved up in pay to Set Up Man.

Same job. Two very different people. One was stuck in one gear and anyone who didn't agree with him was a fool. Only he knew the perfect way of doing things, therefore he couldn't learn anything. After all, what could he learn from imbeciles? The second man had moved up again, to Foreman, and again to Department Supervisor, before I left there, and he was being seriously considered to replace me, which he did, not right then, but later, albeit in a different Factory branch.

We can live one year over again 100 times, or we can build 100 years on top of each other, going higher and higher. Our choice.

Nobody could move that well for 15 at HW. The closest would be young Holmes. Perhaps a terrified David Haye could do it, he certainly knew how to avoid danger against Wladmir despite a toe injury.

I really like Usyk's movement, though different. But Ali-Williams is probably the biggest "holy ****"-experience of a man that size moving like that, for what it's worth.
