Yeah sure, if he brutalises Chisora and KOs him in a few rounds I'll be sure to revisit this thread and give him his deserved props.

Now, flipside, if Parker looks the exact same lacklustre unimaginative fighter he's looked like for the past three years are you going to come back and admit to us you were wrong in your estimation of his abilities and STFU about his future chances? It's only fair, right?

You can't time stamp it because it hardly happens. If it was so blatant you'd be easily able to tell me the rounds. But it only seems to happen Round 6 and 9. And it's hardly anything. So you saying that the ref did the the whole fight is bull****.

Parker completely lacks a fighters mentality, he struggles to put guys away not for a lack of power or speed but because he doesn't have the killer instinct that all the best champions have.

Physical size is all he has on Usyk, all other metrics (including hand-speed imo) go to Usyk, can Parker even claim he has more power than Usyk??

He does have an iron chin though, and is a decent technical boxer, perhaps marginally better than AJ in that respect on his night, for that reason he loses by UD.

Andy Lee has already said they hadn't really had much time to show it. He's confident there'll be an improvement which is good enough for me.

You just answered your own question by pointing out the rounds there slick. You can downplay it all you want it had a big effect on the fight.

I think this is the first time I've seen somebody argue that the ref wasn't complete **** in Parker vs Joshua.

Tyson Fury, Wilder, Frank Sanchez, Yoka, Hunter if he's improved, oddly enough Hughie Fury could cause him a lot of issues. Justis Huni and Bakhodir Jalolov would also pose him problems with their handspeed and youthful energy (that is if he sticks around long enough for them to be fighting him).

OK. We'll see in the rematch. I've seen enough of Parker to know there'll be no real improvement but there's always the (minute) possibility he'll surprise me.

Does he really have size on Usyk? I mean he's heavier, but I'm sure he's got lesser reach and I doubt there's much in it height-wise, if anything.

But yeah, he's inferior to Usyk in every category conceivable with the exception of chin and possibly handspeed. But what good is handspeed when your feet are stuck in mud and you're easier to read than a Run Spot Run book?

As for chin that'll only ensure the fight goes to the cards and isn't a benefit to him in any way.

Parkers hands are quick but his feet are slow. Usyk would take away Parkers jab then moves right and throws those snapping left hand leads all night.

All I said was that it was "possible". I don't think there's much use arguing with you as you seem set in believing that the ref wasn't absolute rubbish in that fight. We'll just have to agree to disagree.

Yeah my bad. Don't know why I got my panties in a twist. The ref was pretty average in that fight. But to use that as the sole reason Parker lost to AJ isn't accurate IMO.

However let's agree to disagree. Apologies for the salt. I think for me I just expected more of Parker and I'm holding bitter feelings whenever his name is brought up.

We have all expected more of Parker - because there is talent there

Somehow at the highest level, he has never shown his true potential. Sad.
