To be fair Haney was too.

If Loma gets by Commey, and that's a very dangerous and risky fight for him purely due to size and Commey being way bigger than him and a huge puncher, he's by far the most deserving of a crack at George's belts.

    Yeah maybe

I've had a brief gander at Twink's next opponent and whilst he looks strong and durable he looks tailor-made for him.

I didn’t recall Haney calling our Teo but I’d be curious to know how serious the offer was. He got caught a few times by the ghost of Linares. Those shots from Teo would have been more dangerous. Still, Teo/Haney would be a good one. Probably will happen at 140 because they are both bursting at the seams at 135.

I was just chuckling to myself about Tank. Read an ESPN article about him where Ellerbe was talking about Tank being one of me the biggest stars like Usyk, Fury and Canelo. Too bad they didn’t ask him why Tank never fights a legit opponent (unlike he big names in the sport who fight top opposition at least once in a while). Tank found the only 135 pounder on the planet who is shorter than him. I think the guy was in the circus right before this fight was announced. They also dropped Josh Taylor as a possible future opponent for Tank. Maybe if Taylor is severely injured in a car accident. Otherwise, it ain’t happening.

You are right about Commey. He’s a big guy and can punch. Loma should beat him soundly but one mistake and the fight could be over. Struck me as a high risk low reward fight. I think Lomas team was expecting Teo to beat George and the Commey fight was to send Teo a message.

He was overated, people are making a million excuses for the guy as to why george kicked his ass, like he was some kind of immortal, the simple fact is he was never as good as advertised and there are other fighters on his level including george obviously. No 7 pound for pound was a laughable joke.

    I don't think so no.
I also don't think anybody would disagree with me that Lopez fought with a terrible game plan and corner.
Additionally, I think many would've agreed with having Lomachenko as the favorite had Lopez given him the rematch.

You obviously missed the video before the Nakatani fight about 'The Matrix-recharged?' or some such title. The shoulder was a major concern before the fight and during the fight. So no, it wasn't something made up by the 'fanboys'.

He also missed this interview. Around 20 minutes and 34 minutes they talk about it.

it wasmt Teo that was overrated it was Loma. Him beating Loma raised his status. Truth is Loma was the one who is overrated and not that good.

No not in my opinion. I feel that both a combination of Ring Rust, and severely underestimating Kambosos played a huge part in the outcome of his loss saturday night. Hes got the talent, but also a team that didnt know what to tell him when the going got tough. People will doubt him now, and question whether he was "overrated" or not, but the answer just isnt clear yet.

Yeah he's been calling him out for ages.

It would be a good fight but I think Lopez at his best catches him and takes him out at some point.

 Ellerbe talks a lot of wind.

I think they found the only other lightweight in the world with a bigger head than Twink too. Cruz's melon looks like a boulder

Commey would be easy work for Loma if they were even remotely close to the same size, but when you're facing a world class fighter/former champion who has that much weight and reach on you and hits as hard as he does you're always crossing a minefield and you're only one mistake and a punch away from disaster.

I believe his lifestyle makes it hard to still make 135. No way he’s fighting Taylor in the near future. Teo is so deluded he probably thinks he’s A side. If he’s serious, he needs to earn his spot. No strap, no reason for Taylor to fight him. Plus, even if he could get the fight, I doubt his management wants to see him lose 2 in a row. Taylor beats him up if they fight any time soon.

Short answer is No. He is challenging himself at a young age in a sport where most of the top guys avoid each other. Most guys would have more Ls on their records if they took on challenges like Lopez did. If Lopez is overrated then so is Lomachenko. I think Kambosos just showed he's a player in the game and look forward to seeing more fights with both. If anything fights like this make me more excited to watch boxing again and now I'll be looking at 135 more intently.

yeah I thought so too at 1st.
But like you say if he can’t make 135lb anymore.

Taylor don’t have any big name dance partners. He’d be happy to beat up on him for likely a career payday as Taylor seems to genuinely despise him like so many other people & fighters do. (I mean it says a lot that Teo and Rollie are besties)

Teofimo if he moves up will be the Biggest name in that division aside from Taylor.

if he fought a progaris or even a Zepeda, he could likely get stopped by them as well, & if that were to happen …. Well, where would Teo go from there?

looking at it from that point of view
his best bet is prolly to put it all on the line & gamble one more time for the biggest score possible. Highest Risk, Biggest reward.

Right now Lopez brings nothing to the table except a putrid mouth, a busted up face, and a shattered ego. He needs to get in line and work his way back to a title fight.
