Makabu's fighting at the end of January. Clenelo said his plan is to return on Cinco De Mayo — giving him more than enough time to implement the most intensive and sophisticated doping regimen in the history of sports to fight at cruiserweight.

He’s fighting Mchunu in a rematch. Gotta applaud him for taking on a dangerous opponent instead of sitting on his ass to wait for the biggest payday he could possibly get.

Makabu's gigantic alien forehead makes up half his fighting weight, so no way he's cutting to any BS catchweight.

If Mchunu wins then he will be fighting Canelo and he suits Canelo more, he is around 5’8 himself despite whatever it says his height is, when he last fought Makabu, he looked considerably shorter and Makabu is 5’11, when someone is taller and larger in stature that is very difficult, but if it is just 1, then it is a lot more possible

Mchunu would beat Canelo if he gets past Makabu.

If Mchunu has anything left, his power and skills would give Canelo hell. This is not the opponent Canelo wants to fight, so he's praying for a Makabu victory.

Mchunu is like the super sized version of what Canelo's people had historically avoided. I'll never forget when Mchunu made Eddie Chambers look like he had never boxed a day in his life.......the same Eddie Chambers that had made Povetkin look inept in stretches. Makabu, as long as Canelo can avoid the big shots and weather them, would be far better served against him than Mchunu.

I do believe Mchunu would beat Canelo, he lost to some undefeated fighters a few years ago, but I believe he’s improved and is having a John Ryder/Maxi Hughes career where everything has clicked for him and now he is showing his full potential, I also believe he beats Makabu in that fight

Makabu vs. Mchunu II was actually announced in the summertime and was supposed to have taken place last month originally...ironically, it was supposed to take place the very week that Canelo vs. Makabu was announced.

Makabu should beat Mchunu it's a good warm up, infacr Mchunu is a short counterpuncher and sharp but a smaller man.. But it should be at 200lbs ofc. Canelo at whatever he likes.

This depends whether Mchunu agrees to take a dive like Makabu has
