Tyson Fury called out by Joe Joyce who wants February fight as Dillian Whyte delays continue https://talksport.com/sport/boxing/988009/joe-joyce-calls-out-tyson-fury-wbc/ I think Tyson Fury will not accept this challenge, he'll wait for the easier fight against the chinny Dillian Whyte.
Whytes easier though. He's there to be KO'd by Fury. Joyce on the other hand would eat Furys best shots all night. Would still lose on points though.
You know who the best HWs are as no one mentions their names. They want to pretend they dont exist. No fighters ever mention Joe Joyce by name or Filip Hrgovic. Joe Joyce is a very dangerous man who gives any HW a hard time.
Joe Joyce isn't fast but he's busy. He's always churning. Fury likes to take large parts of a round off. Warren co-promotes both, so the judges might be pretty fair with what's happening, too. I think it would fascinating.
Not convinced. Who has Joyce beaten? I think Fury could still take him out later on, Jennings caused him all sorts of problems and even hurt him to the body.
He lacks the one shot power to cause Fury any real issues. Fury batters and stops him if he comes in heavy, boxes rings around him if he comes in lighter.
Hard fight that for Tyson. I tell you that now. Tyson is way past his best sell by date. In fact he is starting to smell a little bit off..
Well if a deal with Whyte can't be made then this seems like the clear next best option for Fury. Both promoted by Warren and Brit heavyweight clashes tend to bring in the casuals so will no doubt do well in the UK. Joyce would be the clear underdog as he's not fought anyone on Fury's level. But with his size, work rate and decent power he does present and interesting match up for Fury. I'd like to see this fight, just to see how Fury copes with Joyce's unique set of attributes. But if anyone other than Usyk can keep Joyce contained and take away his work rate it's Fury. I don't think Fury can fight Joyce like Wilder as Joyce can fight off the back foot and taking it too him all the time will just see him fighting at Joyce's pace. But I do think Fury can tie Joyce up as Joyce doesn't seem to know how to use his size to physically dominate opponents like Fury does, so despite Joyce looking the stronger man he will look like the weaker man as Fury's greater knowledge inside sees him get the upper hand when they do get close. Fury likely wins a decision. How close it is depends on which version of Fury shows up. A fit motivated Fury with no injuries likely wins quite comfortably with Joyce only have some moments later on. But if we see the Fury we saw last time vs Wilder that could be a close competitive affair but Fury probably still does enough to win.
Fury needs to get back to some of his simple outboxing joyce presents that opportunity Not going to KO or walk through Joyce and he knows it. same with Usyk.
