When will BT get shut of Paul Dempsey?

I don’t think he’s too bad actually.

 

His ok but was way better in the past.

Does Ian Darke not want to call boxing fights anymore?

Considering BT Sport use Darren Fletcher (who does a good job), you would think they would use Ian Darke given the choice. His a great boxing commentator and find it strange his never used unless he doesn't want to do it anymore.

 

I really miss Ian Darke as a boxingcommentator.

 

I do not agree. In my opinion, Paul Dempsey has done a good job for the last 30 years.

 

Darke is a football commentator now, probably being paid enough and can`t fit boxing into his shedule anymore, I wonder why he left sky sports.

 

I used to like him in tyhe 90`s with Mason, McGuigan and McKenzie.

 

I like Paul Dempsey. He feels so unpolished and clumsy but he will say whatever. He's a far better presenter than any of them birds on sky and DAZN.

 

ESPN offered him a 3 year contract to commentate for there epl and mls coverage.

 

I like him, he brings a slightly odd hostility to proceedings.

 

Apart from haircut I think he's pretty good.

 

I like him. He can be awkward at times but in an endearing Richard Madeley sort of way.

He’s a terrible football commentator but an excellent boxing presenter. I used to love it in the very very early days of Sky, when through the night boxing was new and exciting, watching him present Tyson fights, Sugar Ray Leonard, Foreman Cooney then Bowe Holyfield Lewis etc. There was a beautiful novelty to it and Dempsey was a big part of that .

 

Yes, it would give a huge quality boost to DAZN if Paul Dempsey became boxing host on their platform.
