    Joe Frazier or

    Julio Caesar Chavez?

p4p I really like Chavez in this one. He has all the tools, durability, defense, stamina, and people dont last long with him

But he never won the big one and his win over Taylor was due more to bad refereeing than anything else

Joe on the other hand, didnt have all the weapons that Chavez had but I think Joe was tougher and he had one of the most notable wins in history.

Joe had a better left hook than Chavez and if you stayed on tyhe line after punching he`d desytoy you with counter hooks, he was a bit more effective than Chavez who looked bad in his losses and got out-boxed by Taylor.

You gotta be on drugs again, antman. How can you say Frazier was a more effective fighter than Chavez who considered to be the greatest Mexican fighter ever? Chavez won over 100 fights in his career and most of his losses were at the end of his long career and who cares if Taylor was winning on points in their first fight. The end result was Chavez stopped Taylor both times in their 2 fights. Frazier was a great fighter as well but it's crazy to state outright that Chavez wasn't as effective in his fights as Frazier was in his.

But it was and Taylor never recovered from the beating Chavez put on him.

Chavez is of course much higher than Joe all time p4p.

Taylor out-boxed Chavez, Frazier was hard to out-box.

Chavez destroyed Taylor. Not only was it a good stoppage, it was to bad JC Chavez had not found his mark earlier. The damage to Taylor was so great he was never the same fighter again. Shame really. JC then crushed him in the rematch and no questions remained.

JC fought some of the greats and his only losses as said earlier were past his prime. Frazier had more heart, but was no where close when it came to power, chin, stamina, and ability. Chavez was considered the greatest P4P boxer for years for good reason. He literally was so good he could take world class competition and play with them at his best. ( Haugen, Camacho)

Frazier fought wars with everyone , Chavez in his prime could take his competition to school. Big difference IMO.

Chavez lost his most significant fights against De La Hoya (twice), Whitaker (yes clean loss) and Randall. His best win was Taylor. His 87-0 record was looking good against cab drivers until Whitaker fight.

    Ali >>> Taylor

This is Chavez and it isn't close.

Chavez was dominant for much longer than Frazier. While Frazier's peak (The FOTC) may have been higher than Chavez' best, he was not on the peak very long. Chavez was at the highest level of his sport for well more than a decade.

As proof ot this, per Ring magazine's year end ratings, Chavez was in the top five of his weight class for 14 consecutive years (1984-1997) 12 of those years were in the top three and he was number one each year from 1987 to 1993. Frazier was number one for three years and in the top five for nine.

Frazier was very good, obviously, but Chavez is much higher on the all-time P4P list.

Chavez had less power than Frazier P4P, Frazier dropped Ali with one shot, I don`t know how many fighters Chavez dropped with one shot aside from Taylor and that right hand was nowhere near as powerful as Frazier`s hook that dropped Ali P4P.
