No saying Arthur was going to be able to turn it around, like I said he just doesn't possess the self-belief or even the Brit Level toughness and grit, but everyone knows British domestic dust ups are the envy of the world and that ref robbed us of the opportunity to find out for sure. Revoke his licence

Yarde winning on sheer brute force and hard body shots. The only answer Arthur had to Yarde's pressure was to hold without throwing anything potent of his own.

I've never liked Arthur's beard style and it likely cost him this fight.

He was throwing jabs and straight rights, probably because they are long range punches, he knew Yarde could counter him if he threw short range punches.

Arthur looked like a fighter who was glad of the payday and didn't care if he won or lost.

None of those guys can be a good champion. Not on that level, sadly.

Arthur just looked like he wanted no part in it right from the off. Reminded me of Gorman against Dubois.

No he wouldn't have. Yarde was just still shellshocked from gassing against and getting KO'd by Kovalev and in his head. Although had he looked at that match a little more closely, he'd have realized, he gassed because Kovalev drained him, not because his gas tank was that bad. Hence why he closed as strongly as he did the first time around against Arthur and had him badly rocked late. He knew he could pick right up where he left off tonight, and finish this early.

I think the Kovalev fight was good experience but this fight didn't show much in terms of him being able to evade a jab. Arthur didn't really do much to show if Yarde has made much defensive improvements.

I want to see all these british light heavyweights fight eachother now.

Well... he was throwing jabs and straight rights, because that's pretty much what Arthur throws.

He may well be but it was premature. This was a British domestic dust up and a grudge match for goodness sake and I only would've been OK with that stoppage if it was a foreigner, especially it was a fighter from across the pond who was on the receiving end of it.
