I had no idea who he was before and I expected him to be an easy opponent for Tank to destroy but he really impressed me with how he handled Tank. Showed tight defense, good bodywork, tagged Tank a couple times, made him uncomfortable, and wasn’t afraid. Not once was he hurt and he barely got a mark on his face. This was a very tight fight that could have been a draw. I look forward to seeing his upcoming fight.
I don't know about that. Cruz is game but very basic. Tank could barely land clean and that's concerning.
how is he one dimensional? he cuts the ring off well and moves his head side to side while working his way inside, and throws nice sharp punches.
He's definitely good and a tough matchup for guys who want to explode in from range. I think lankier dudes with great jabs would expose Cruz, tho.
That's who he always is, including the flashes of a higher level and the stretches of mediocrity. If you enjoyed that he stays pretty busy so there's plenty more to watch.
Much better than I thought too, he's one tough little S.O.B. I scored it 115-113 for Tank and almost had it a draw as a couple of rounds were real close. I thought Cruz landed the harder shots. I certainly didn't think it was an 8-4 fight as one judge had it
Eh I wasnt impressed. Tank has been overrated for a while and he had a hand injury in the middle of the fight. He still probably deserves a decision by 1-2 points at least. Cruzs height at the weight will be a gimmick for not much longer once guys adapt
I don't have a problem with Twink just edging it but I can't honestly say he would've won had the ref not been in the bag and I don't think anyone, if they're being honest with themselves that is, can disagree with that assessment. He should've had multiple points deducted for the incessant stiff-arming, excessive holding, grabbing Cruz in headlocks, literally trying to judo trip him, and constantly pushing Cruz down all night and it not only greatly affected the path the fight took but it greatly hindered Cruz from doing what he does best.
