No, he isn't. Tank is a good fighter who is protected by the same Mafia like other fighters but he still has skills. Unfortunately he's not improving at all and struggles with all sort of styles but his power and/or the judges helped him to overcome it. I don't think he lost the Cruz fight but it was a Draw on my scorecard. And he was also behind on my card against Barrios before his power bailed him out. He needs to make some significant changes.
I agree with most of your comments. I just think Tank needs to fight a higher level of opposition and fight more frequently. He could probably get a Haney fight if he wants it (Haney would do it). If Loma can’t get the Kambosos fight after Commey (assuming he gets by Commey) he would fight Tank. Tank avoids competitive opponents and his growth has been stunted as a result. I don’t see it happening but would love to be wrong. Tank has skills and moved well last night. He liked better to me than he’s looked in a long time. I hope he can muster up the courage to fight a top five guy and not a small guy moving up as he seems to love doing.
Wont help him mate, stupid can't learn or improve, we have seen that with wilder. The simple boy has reached his ceiling.
You are like one of these guys who said Malignaggi defeated Broner. In my country, you would be fed feathers until you admitted you were wrong. You would have the food, but it would be feathers. I want you to think about that. This is the liberty you have for your insolence wherever you are from.
Anyone with scruples can see through the cherry picking and swerving of the best fighters in a division, which is fine but don't try and push him as p4p or the best in a division when he and or his team have no intention of fighting any of them.the hate he gets he deserves.
I think he is very talented but overprotected. Just look at who he was suppose to have fought instead of Cruz. Rolly was their number one choice. He would have KTFO out of Rolly and all his fanbois would be scream P4P best 135 fighter alive. That is all TMT have been doing with Tank.
Resume wise, sure he was well ahead but there's not a fight that he competes in that the safety net of hometown cooking isnt available So yes he is protected and a lot more than Davis
Tank definitely lost and the irony is the small ass Mexican dude walked him down the whole fight, killed his body, landed bombs to the head, and had Tank clinching and spoiling.
No he didn't you're a hater of certain fighters so of course you would say this. Tank won the fight he didn't dominate but he won.
Without doubt. Hes been marketed as the next Mike Tyson, and been rushed to PPV level, but he isn't really there yet. He even admitted to ducking tough opposition.
Way over protected and way over rated considering the quality of his opponents. He was a massive favorite over the young Mexican fighter Cruz and at the end of it a solid arguement can be made for a Cruz win. Davis needs to step up. He is 27 and at his physical peak the next couple of years. Thus far he has squandered his time and is living a promotional overblown fantasy as a p4p fighter.
