I’ve lost interest in Tanks career. His best win to date is Pedraza. Floyd treating him like a prospect. They let Lopez beat Loma and take the glory spot. Tank should be gunning for the Kambosos fight ASAP. It seems he’s comfortable feasting on guys where he’s the massive favorite.
Tank was tested. Looked like he answered some very important questions. His toughness and durability. Cruz is small guy well see if he can take a true lightweight shot next fight. But moving forward Tank is a special talent that will be hard to beat.
Davis is a cherry picker and one of the most overrated boxers today. He generates fanboys like Mike Tyson’s ones and refuses to step up. It’s a shame because he has a substantial amount of talent and could be remembered as a great fighter.
There's a lot of parallels with Wilder, when you think about it... Both have made their names by maintaining high KO, made easier by refusing to take fights with anyone particularly good (unless they look shot) - both have natural gifts and very good power for their respective divisions. Arguably it looks worse in Tank's case because his technique is better and he hasn't had a cherrypick go wrong on him, yet.
Tank is just a butter bean side show act. Time to move on from him. It’s evident he’s never going to truly test his ability against the best.
100%. Tank is one of the best examples of what's wrong with today's boxing. Never fighting the top guys, the "belts don't matter" mentality, and overhyped to an insane degree for knocking out tomato cans and an Instagram star lol
Tank is explosive but thats about it. Put him up against any dude who can actually handle his power and he's done for. Haney, Teo, non-weight drained Garcia, even Shakur, Loma, etc. all beat him. He could easily move to 147 considering his weight, but he wont because he knows Crawford and Spence are there. If I ever had to call a boxer a fraud, Tank is it. He will get beat by any of the top guys who can take his power because thats all he presents.
Tank is a highly talented guy with phenomenal power. However no one is ducking him, he and his team have just shown 0 desire to step up and challenge themselves. For me, he’s wasting the best years of his career.
No one is going to get lowballed by an unproven fighter. Tank thinks he's the face of boxing, it appears he's only the face against unrecognisable names.
Seen several articles where he's looking for catchweight fights while using a rehydration clause. The guy won a f'n belt at 140 already! THAT is why title hopping has become such a joke. Yet others think that equals "Challenging themselves"....
