Has anybody asked Usyk about this step-aside deal?

I don't think he will really care, seems very uninterested in all the politics. He just trains and fights.

He is involved in this. Joshua doesn't have the right to demand a fight with Usyk after letting the rematch slip into the future.

Best thing he could do tbh. He needs to sort his trainer situation before going in with usyk again. Looks like hes caught between styles....different trainers etc. They need to work out how they want to fight...implement it in training then take on lesser guys...rebuilding his confidence and turning into a fighter fighting to his strengths.

Lets say he takes usyk next and wins...how long before he needs two fights again to beat someone else. Will just turn his career into a bit of a joke. Ruiz and now a cruiserweight...a great one tbf...but a cruiserweight none the less. Needs to reevaluate atm...good few problems looking at his latest interviews. Sort it out first then look to have another crack at it.

I suppose there is a price for everything and a step aside fee in the 10’s of millions for all us non millionaires seems appealing? But what was AJ’s purse for Usyk £40 M ?? Plus what kind of contract would guarantee AJ a shot at the winner ? Would it give AJ a chance of a few warm up fights ? For that to have any real benefits he would need to find opponents with some similarities to either Fury or Uyzk and I am not sure if there is anyone that fits that particular criteria and if there was that could be a potential banana skin , we know that AJ can beat the likes of Whyte , Pulev etc. The best scenario for AJ is to go for broke in the Uyzk rematch and cash out.

Usyk has already mentioned retirement. He doesn't intend to stay around for more than a couple of fights.

Yeah, he would smash him worse than before.
Perfect fight to regain his confidence.

    AJ can't win.

If he steps aside he will look like a coward with no confidence. And besides, you can't believe Fury's word at all. He won't stay around.

If he doesn't, he gets battered and loses the mega fight with Tyson.

May look like a coward but in time people won't give a flying one as they just want to see the battle of Britain.

That's his most recent interview, so yes

I said previously, as in, the past

Start from post fight onwards, it was all definitely rematch, nothing else, no step aside, wouldn't dare approach with the idea etc etc

Now, as the interview you posted shows, they are listening to the idea

Now we can put this step aside nonsence to bed.

As I said even if Fury fought usyuk next, Whyte would be next in line so AJ would be waiting.

Probably for the best. I really like Usyk and will be supporting him vs AJ.. but AJ and Fury both winning then facing off for undisputed is an amazing prospect.
