Why didn't "Terrible" Tim Witherspoon ever fight Tyson, Holyfield or Lewis? / Who would've won?

Bruno had more power than Holy and Tim his power easily, he also had a better chin than any fighter that went twelve with Lewis aside from Holy and Mercer.

The Tyson fight didn't happen because Bonecrusher knocked him out.

Bowe really wouldve made sense though.

IDK about Holyfield but going through King probably wouldve been an issue.

The 3 knockdown rule was in place for the Bonecrusher fight. Tim was never hurt but got bowled over 3 times and the fight was over....i always thought it was convenient that Tim was removed from Tysons path

No Smith was about to finish him, he didn`t fall off-balance he was scrambled by the shots and getting hit repeatedly by a huge puncher.

Tim was a guy whom I thought was better than the Pinklon Thomas and Tubbs level, but slightly below the Holmes and Tyson level, but his physical size and durability makes me think he could have given Tyson a good fight.

For the most part, he was talented, just never put the right string of wins together. Lower top 10 at his best.

His career had all kinds of stops and starts. When he came back on Tuesday night fights and starched Ecklund , I thought he was on his way to a real, meaningful comeback. It was not to be.

He was already too old, his hey day was in the 80s. In the 90s none would have given anyone any props for beating him

I havent watched the fight for over 20 years but supposedly Tim lost on purpose to get out of his contract with Don King. Going by your description of the fight though, perhaps not!

Thomas beat Witherspoon impressively when both were at their very best in a title fight. He most certainly wasn't better than Thomas.
