Egads... the state of this match. The amount of clinching and blatant rabbit punching that has been going on this whole time...

I guess the younger Shtonda isn't a glass-jawed feather-fist like bro Val, but he is 10x dirtier and sloppier. Pick your poison, eh.

And don't get me wrong, the Italian bears his share of responsibility too. Just a horrendous clash of styles - a pair of lanky, twitchy, upright windmilling brawlers.

And the ref is just like "Yeah, whatevs. You boys sort it out amongst yourselves..."

See, we can be franz. :sing:

(you'll be added on the next time Chris or I make a RBR ...unless he wants to edit your name into this one. I just don't like to make any edits past 5 minutes because it leaves that ugly "last edited by" tracer for us non-mods)

Cheers. You been watching this one closely and/or scoring? I kept half an eye walking from my gym and ordering my lunch, saw both guys hit the canvas a lot but pretty sure they were all slips and judo-flips - any real knockdowns?

And how many times have they spat out their gum shields? :sisi1

BogShton in the black with red lettering and Lezzi the black w/ green, for anyone just tuning in. (plus, y'know, their names are on their waistbands. So, if you have the literacy required to read a forum post, well...:sherlock:)

I was so confused for a minute there puzzling over wtf is going on.

Both combatants stood in their corners for a full minute, leading me to wonder if there had been a stoppage or retirement. It turns out the canvas had gotten too wet - like, ridiculously, sopping wet (from perspiration or what idk. A leak in the ceiling? It was like a pregnant woman's amniotic sac had burst on the ring apron ) and they needed that long for venue staff to wipe it down before they could ring the bell to start the 6th.

Apparently this was elevated to an eight rounder, as we're heading into a seventh instead of reading scorecards as expected.

Jeez. Of all the fights to extend. This fugly mess. :roto2nuse:

No, I'm training at home now, so I've watched like 20% of this fight LOL

I don't have hight hopes for either of Shtonda brothers although they are labelled as future starts by their promoter - B1 Boxing. I mean, they post everything about their training, eating, sleeping etc. FAR more than they post about their more talented guys like Mykhalushko or Pavlo Gula... Or even about Vladyslav Sirenko who is one of the most populars boxers in Ukraine

I might have to rewind and have another look at Mykhalushko's fight. It turns out he is the first person to ever stop Octavian Gratii (no matter the circumstances) in thirty-odd pro bouts. The gutsy Romanian journeyman always faces prospects, too - he went 6 rounds with Bogdan Shtonda in October - and to my knowledge has never down.

They completed eight. I can't imagine this being anything but a victory for Shtonda on home soil, especially as he seemed the busier and (slightly) cleaner worker throughout, but Lezzi appears optimistic about his chances, leering at his opponent while his team removes his gloves.

Yep, win for Shtonda. He tosses a smug little smile across the ref at Lezzi, and the Italian wrinkles his nose and puckers his lips as though someone just got on his elevator and farted. :risas3:

There shouldn't be any concern of any coddled A-sides getting favorable treatment in this one. :sisi1

Radchenko is 7-7 and Pylypenko is 6-53-2. I expect we can safely assume neither will ever be seen contending (unless Wilder gets his mitts on another strap)
