Arum wants to match Stevenson with Lomachenko

I saw him at prospect park sports bar here in houston once in 2020 in June a week or so after he beat Caravelle he was celebrating his birthday there another time about 5 months ago at the same spot again. He's not big and not a weight bully.

It's funny that the only fighters who get called weight bullies seem to be black fighters around here like Haney tank Shakur Crawford Spence with the only other exception being Teo. Yet a guy like Taylor at 140 who's big for the weight and would be a good sized ww never gets mentioned, why? What's your and others agendas by continuing to do this mainly calling out black fighters as weight bullies?? Is it because you want to try and discredit them when they win?? So you have a ready made excuses? I'm tired of this one sided weight bully ****. Call out others or **** off with it because you and others only target certain fighters and have agendas and it's easy to see.

 

Tyson Fury is the biggest weight bully of them all, haven't heard anyone calling him out.

its the HW division. There are no rules as to how much heavier they can be. Thats not weight bullying, he didnt drain or dry wilder out. Its just how the division works.

 

Sure and it's within the rules to come in at 130lb and then rehydrate. That's how boxing works now.

 

but that doesnt apply to the HW division. They arent required to come in at a lower weight and then be allowed to rehydrate. They literally just have to show up. We cant blame tyson for being 6'9 280 naturally.

 

But why we blaming Shakur for being able to make 130. Also naturally, as far as I know he hasn't been caught using any drugs.

 

well find a better example like canelo or pbf, where the same rules apply. The hw division is literally the last place we blame for weight bullying cuz there literally is no weight limit.

 

Campbell was a huge fighter at 135 so is garcia and neither are called weight bullies

 

According to latest interview with Arum, it seems that the fight Loma vs Commey will be for mandatory spot for WBO to fight Kambosos. I have long predicted that Loma is going to go for mandatory between two organizations, WBO or WBC. Since Loma was multiple-weight WBO champion and Arum's closeness to the organization, also the fact that WBO is one of titles Kambosos currently held, this one is the more immediate and preferred choice.

I don't think Kambosos is a type of guy who does the ducking or planning to go up weight to avoid title defense, so realistically speaking this one can happen.

Back to the topic, I do hope Loma fight Stevenson in the future. But 135 is Loma's class now, the work he has done in the past three years, including Nakatani fight and Commey fight two days from now, is aiming for the conquest of lightweight division. Besides, the title Shakur currently held was Loma's. He got nothing to do with 130. He probably would be more interested to fight Lopez in rematch than facing Stevenson.

 

Irrelevant, those sound like excuses to me to never call him one. Campbell was at 135 for years and never once was accused of being a weight bully. Garcia is a huge lw, stop! You want to pick and chose who you label a weight bully period based on if you like them or not and that's the problem with this whole weight bully nonsense.

 

BUUULLLLSSHHIIIITTTT.... A lot of Mexican fighters, and especially just lower weight fighters, have been called that.

 

Im thinking if Shakur can deal with lomas speed he night turn loma into the Lopez fight where he doesn't open up and shakur can bank some early rounds

I expect some quick high level chess in here. Loma may win on experience but i dont think anyone is running away with this fight

 

I don't see it. All I hear is tank Haney Shakur Spence and Crawford and Teo that's it. Check the threads around here lately about weight bullies and you will see those fighters I mentioned all through the threads and no lower weight class fighters. I'm calling it like it is.
