Yeah it has an established set up that works which draws the casuals in for the big fights.

Hearn made a HUGE mistake moving to Dazn

They weren't always. ITV had fights sewn up for years; BBC had a strong interest in boxing long before that. It's quite possible Sky will fade.

Yes, we old people miss ITV's "Big Fight Live" with Reg Gutteridge and Jim Watt. Those were the days !

Whoever holds the most rights for Premier League football will be the top dogs for any other sport they show.

Now it's Sky, and they won't let go without a fight. But one day that could change.

The Premier League are loving life at the moment. At the moment, they have Sky paying the bulk, BT paying for a bit and Amazon getting involved too (had midweek prem games on this week.) DAZN isn’t really pulling much casual at the moment, they need a big fight to do it that captures the casual imagination.

I was surprised they didn’t throw money at Khan / Brook. Felt like it would have been a good one to get the ball rolling but to be fair this is Sky’s bread and butter.

Not sure if much has been posted about this, but seen the fight has been rescheduled to 29th Jan. Probably the right decision rather than having Eubank batter a no mark. I’ve not read what the injury is but hopefully just something minor if it’s only being pushed back a month.

Sky will be bittersweet over this. They’ve already started the push that they’ve got big fights in January and Feb next year (starting the year with a bang they say) but they’ll be annoyed they haven’t got a good one to end the year and compete with Matchroom having 2 shows in December.

Williams has confirmed the link up with Booth today. Good move, bad move?

Odd move given his style of fighting. Be interesting to know what has really went on.

    Looking forward to this one.

Williams is definitely more than just a plodder as some people have implied but Booth doesn't seem like the right fit for him.

Hadn’t Williams left Lockett? Who was he with for Andrade etc? Any ideas on when the rearranged fight will be?

Journey Man said in an earlier post that it's been rescheduled for January 29.

He is more refined than that but Booth’s success has come from fighters with explosive fast twitch fibres and that jerky style - that isn’t Williams

Odd move...think Joe G is a better pick than Booth. I never really understood why he went to Dom ingle considering Liams style but I suppose Liam might of been thinking that he was still young enough and not too set in his ways to learn a bit more from a different style to the one he already had and try take the best parts from all he was learning.
Just don't see how a move to Booth even entertains that same notion of development so late in the day and how far removed Booths style is from how Liam already operates and his potential physical/athletic attributes.
    Who knows tho.

Seen the link up with Booth....

Booth does know Eubank extremely well........ he's had him in numerous sparring camps with Groves when he was Groves trainer and at one point linked up with Eubank himself. So you'd imagine he knows the exact game plan, it's just whether Williams can execute it.
