    I thought, I'd make a small contribution, and went back as far as I could, to the latter half of the 20s - as their first end-of-year ranking was for the year 1924.

    1925 - 4
    1926 - 4
    1927 - 6
    1928 - 7
    1929 - 6
    1930 - 8

    Great stuff! I might do the pre 1924 years using my own year-end ratings, if I have the stamina left!

    1990-3.

    You can really see how pathetic the sport has become. Alphabet titles have been a plague on the sport.

    Think we have 1920-1940, 1950-69, 80-2021...so the '40's, '70's and pre 1920. I'll tip away at the 1880-1919 range and leave thoes two to Bukake and yourself, thanks for the excellent work, both, and we can analyse them when we complete.

    Which decade are you working on?

    Edit: Oh, I just saw it's the 70s.

    If no one else is looking at the 40's, I'll try to do that tomorrow.
