Does this Firuza Sharipova have a chance tonight?

I agree with you. But it’s a double edged sword really in some respects. The fact bang average fighters like Derek Chisora get the PPV loot from the mughts (shout out to my homie @Jurgen) is because of things like Boxing social and IFL giving them a platform to engage with fans when they’re on downtime and in the lead up to fights. Which then garners interest from casuals to hand over 20 quid no questions asked.

If the footy casuals can see someone like Whyte and Chisora effing and blinding on interviews it drums up a “they’re just like me” sort of mindset in them and that tricks people into supporting them through subs to DAZN or PPV shows.

 

Was about to ask the same thing.

Seems very serious, has looked the part in press conferences etc (in both ways), has come over with a proper entourage, and from a country not known for its plodders.

 

Taylor also looks on the slide but she seems to find a way to win

That's true. And in a sense when you think about PPV money, Chisora owes it to the sport to keep publicising it even after he retires.

But you can see as a professional that his time isn't free and the high volume of these boxing channels (some of which can't be making a living off it) is just bizarre.

 

Hope to hell Stevi Levy doesn't get much airtime tonight, clearly positioned in the front row to get some of the spotlight. She's almost as annoying as Shanny and Bridges.

 

I used to be high on Joe C but i didn't see anything special at all in that fight.
He couldnt/didn't know how to cut the ring off correctly. Didn't know how to hold someone in mid and short range without letting them fall in and hold. Failed to capitalise on his opponents predictable movements and punches/combos.
Started getting frustrated when he wasn't getting his own way.
I'm Hoping that Joe goes away and realises that there's a lot for him to work on if he wants to move up the ladder.
The Belgium kid weren't bad but he's no contender.
I do like Joe as a person and fighter but he had a bit if a bad one there. Hopefully he can work out what he needs to learn from this fight, which I'm sure he will

Never been impressed by Robbie yes.

But Henry Lundy is a professional loser type. He has an impressive resume of fighters he has lost to, but he hasn’t beaten anyone I can see.

So it’s a good opponent for Robbie. Let’s see how much Lundy has left!
