Not a shock really. Been flickering around MTK. Probellum aren’t messing around, they’re going to make a big splash. I think Fury only has a fight left with Frank? (Could be wrong). Wouldn’t be surprised if they go after him.
Better exposure on Sky TV on both Freesports and Boxnation (free with BT Sports and Premier Sports) so will get more exposure on those channels than DAZN UK with only a few subscribers.
If fighters sign with Probellum are they free to fight on other shows if it's a management deal, or will it be exclusively Probellum shows? Is this the company Sam Jones is with or is that another one?
Yes it’s MTK under a different name. They are building their own online platform as no TV broadcaster would back then due to the issues they have with Kinahan. it will be interesting if Warren etc begin kicking off if they start losing fury etc to them
All for Kinahan me fck it. DK takes over, moves all US boxing to Dubai so it’s a better time for us viewers and shoots Eddie Hearn for opposing it. Job done.
Same with DAZN UK that very few know about it and even fewer would consider subscribing to it. A non subscription TV channel on Sky is easier to find and people are more likely to watch - word will spread rapidly around boxing fans.
There’s currently around 400k active subscribers on DAZN in the UK none of the channels have ever got close to that. There’s close to 12 million worldwide
Small fry compared to Sky but 400k active subscribers in the UK is hard to believe. DAZN UK had a target of 500k subscribers by the end of 2021 coming from a position of 200k in early September - after the 400% price hike and reduction in quality of card, it is more likely that the subscriber base would reduce by 50% and not increase at all never mind by 150%. Got to say I would be very impressed if DAZN have 100k subscribers never mind 400k
The good thing with DAZN is they could have 5m UK subscribers and you will never know as it’s never announced
DAZN probably count every subscription and re-subscription in 2021 as part of that overall total. I've probably signed up, cancelled at least three times. If they just counted how many current active subscriptions they've got, it's probably about 46.
