Taylor v Benn will play out something similar to Groves v Eubank

Benn has another two soft fights in 2022 before stepping up.

If you look at the top 10 welterweights you are going to struggle to pick anyone that he beats.

Does he stand a chance against Spence, Crawford, Ugas, Boots Ennis and Virgil Ortiz?

The problem Hearn has if that he needs Benn to be that headline potential next PPV star. He can’t do that if he starts matching Benn up a level, as losses will destroy his brand.

Benn has been impressive in recent fights. But continues to be wide open to counters, and continues to be matched against non-punchers

Matchroom's matchmakers are doing a good job hyping Benn.

Benn stopped Vargas then looked mediocre against Granados. Many have forgotten that.

The improvements with Conor Benn are fantastic you’ve got to give him credit. Many on here said he wouldn’t go past area level.

BUT they need to be careful with him, they’re hyping him up to be something he’s not (yet). I don’t think he will ever be an elite top fighter but if they manage him well they can get to fringe world level. I’d steer him away from Broner for now. It’s pointless calling for the Avenasyan fight, never happening with the cross promotional stuff and Conor is ranked ahead of him with the WBA and IBF, he brings nothing but danger. High risk low reward. Be interesting to see who’s next.

My guess is Kavaliaskas, Mo Hooker or Van Heerden followed by the Broner fight next summer or Marku if he can’t get broner

then he will likely be called to a vacant WBA shot if spence vs Crawford has happened and they move up.

Depends on how much AB asks for. If he demands 8 million dollars, then it is not going to happen. AB's heart isnt in the sport anymore anyway so its not worth paying that much for his name on your record.

Marku would be a good opponent, he is live. But he is very open and easy to hit.

Most likely is Mo Hooker followed by Marku.

Khan is too canny to take Benn on at this stage of his career

Most likely the winner of the Khan v Brook fight.

I would add he should build his career, at his own pace and simply cut out the verbal nonsense post fight about being ready to take on anyone then at the end ask for the winner of Brook v Khan.

He is certainly improving but still has it all to prove but we can see the context at the start of every fight.

Hope he continues to do well and develop better out the ring.

    Your out of context here.
Canelo was still a bit of an unknown still fighting in Mexico at 20 fights in.
Hagler had plenty of experience and was in the background at 20 fights in.
Connor Benn has done next to nothing to warrant been a ppv fighter. Of course we don't mind watching his progression, son of a legend learning the trade and developing well...But let's be right they are knocking on the door of ppv and he's done absolutely F..All. even a fight with Broner is a bit of a joke.
If he's really at the level they are trying to sell us then put him in with a live dog, no they won't do that cos he ain't that good as they want you to believe
. He's not bad don't get me wrong and he's developing well but he hasn't proven himself against a live opponent.
This is bordering on wwe style promoting,.
If Benn makes it to ppv with the kind of opponents he's had so far then Hearn had made a mockery of our sport as some of us know it. If you believe that as long as you have a pair of gloves on and are in a boxing ring and you are making loads of money you can call yourself a prizefighter then thats your right.
Then in some ways Jake Paul is just as credible.

He's better than he was a few years ago but they are doing a good job of picking old opponents for him to beat in style, wins they can hype him up with.
This is normal in professional boxing, of course.
