I would agree with you regarding Commey fighting Haney, possibly Tank. However, that fight may have taken too much out of Commey. He is one tough guy but he took an awful beating. Sometimes fighters are never the same after a fight like that.

 

You are right but he’s tough and will come back. A loss like tonight is worse than a one punch KO. Commey took sustained damage for several rounds. It was surprising to see how much bigger he was than Loma. So much for the weigh in. It didn’t matter in the end.

Loma is fighting guys two weight classes above his natural weight. At his actual weight, 126, he destroys anyone. I hope Tank’s balls drop after Loma beats Kambosos and agrees to fight. Loma will give him a beating and a much needed boxing lesson.

The most interesting from Loma's masterclass performance today is, IMHO his defensive work.

He was very patient and doesn't let Commey to use his reach. He was also constantly moving in very unpredictable pattern. To end the fight against one of the hardest puncher of the division with relatively clean face is amazing feat.

 

Ease off him… He's just butt hurt that all of his Latin lovers like Garcia & Lopez got their arses paddled recently..

Loma was great with a near shutout but what was really impressing me by the end was Commey's fortitude.

Usually when someone takes that kind of beating they lose all steam on their punches and he didn't. He was still trying to get the hail mary KO until very late in the fight.

I think his corner should have pulled him before that though.

80%+ of the sections with anyone in them, they didn't have anyone in the balconies though.

Awesome atmosphere, this was the first time I've gone to a pro fight and it was very enjoyable. A lot of very friendly Ukrainians.

Lomas tiny but he can take a shot too.. it was yet another masterclass but I was impressed with how he was handling Commey up close considering he probably had about 15lbs on him.. & the way he dictates the pace and bosses the ring too, I don't want to say it looked like a sparring session because it's disrespectful to Commey who is a nice guy and a good fighter but it did LOL… Pure brilliance …he really is a special little fecker.. enjoy him now because he won't be around for too much longer.. most complete fighter in the sport right now undoubtedly.
