What are Canelos best wins without any asterisks?

Canelo's best wins without a "yeah but ... " that can be said about them are Saunders, Smith and Plant. You could possibly add Cotto to that, even though the scores were as usual lopsided to Canelo and did not reflect how competitive Cotto actually was.

They are good solid wins over world class opponents, that nobody can dispute. If only Canelo had relied more on his skills and less on his weight games and bent judges in his career there may have been more of them.

 

IIRC Jacobs blew past the limit in that fight as well.

 

GGG out landed Canelo in both fights.In the 2nd fight GGG'S power jab
had Canelo's head bouncing around like a bobble head doll.

 

I don't here many say that about the Cotto fight, but i have always thought that. Cotto made it very close, but obviously he was never going to win that fight unless it was by a KO. All these situations added together make it so obvious what is really going on.

 

C. Smith was a 4 week camp

 

This. I don’t think I saw that coming, smith was very highly rated winning the super series, then after canelo beat him he became a bum, ‘Euro level’ as the bum Caleb plant said.

He tested negative right before and after the fight. If those results are to be questioned then every fight that takes place in boxing is "with asterisks"
