he wasnt bad then and before but he was when compared to future Its that joe was a close range fighter his movement was way more in line with his era whereas jers looked like he was from future how come your denying this when it showed in the vid you showed the poll doesn't matter cause it's not from people who aren't stuck the vid shows jers was semi modern and joe wasnt if joe was like jers why do you think I would say he wasnt I can see good i have no reason to act like joe moved like jers when he didnt it's not on vid do you really think you see joe moving like jers
The poll counts to show that people who disagree with you are not lying. Unless the entire forum (except White Bomber) is conspiring against you.
No. He has a different style. No two boxers move identically. Frazier didn't dance around the ring either.
Walcott covered more ground, if that's what you mean. He wasn't fast enough to escape Louis's more efficient footwork, though. All of this was explained in lots of posts above.
Also, you asked why you would say something when it isn't true: First off, nobody is saying Louis moved "like Jersey Joe." They are saying that Joe was skilled and modern. Not all modern fighters move like Jersey Joe. You don't have to move like Jersey Joe to be modern. Secondly, I personally believe you are saying Joe Louis was primitive because you are wrong. Incorrect. Mistaken. In error. That doesn't mean you are lying. Lying is different from being wrong. I'm not accusing you of lying. People can be wrong and not be lying.
Maybe we should just give up and agree with Moneytheman. He seems to be an authority in the area of “ outdated movement” after all So I’ll be the first to concede to him…. If Joe Louis were fighting in Tommy Morrison’s era they wouldn’t even be in the same ring because Louis really would be THAT horrible. His “outdated movement” would make him easy pickings for guys like Bobby Crabtree and Tom Tomashek. Hell I don’t even know if Louis could get a boxing license in the 90’s. I can see him throwing dozens of combos and missing about 90% of them while the other 10% lands only to have his opponent laugh them off. How dare anyone suggest that Sir Joseph Louis Barrows was an ATG ?!?!?! Today he’d be delivering pizzas!!!
The primitive pizzas of Louis's day couldn't compete against the superior modern nutrition of Pizza Hut.
Very true. The lousy “outdated”fresh grown ingredients of the 1940s wouldn’t stand up to the processed ones of today
Exactly. All the fatty, estrogen-producing modern additives have leached out the nasty testosterone from modern athletes, allowing them to become sensitive and pleasantly spherical.
