Pity that Povetkin had to get busted for PEDS. Wilder was going to go to Russia to take down Sasha but he just had to fail a damn drug test.
Why would Wilder take a 16+ hour flight to Russia to fight a guy that was on PEDS? He was already fighting at a disadvantage to begin with. He made the right move, and Povetkin is to blame why the fight fell through.
No, on boxingforum24, people like Povetkin are always the game warriors and people like Wilder are always the duckers/weight bullies/whatever else which is, in and of they own self, another thing but this that I have called Povetkin in they own minds.
Because the "ped" in question was trace amounts (under the allowed limit btw) of Meldonium, a tablet that kiddies take to study better. It's no secret that Povetkin had been taking it prior to it being banned. It's effectiveness is up for debate, a double espresso would probably sharpen you up even better. Meanwhile Wilder had two fights with Ortiz and three fights with Fury, both of whom have been bust for far more heavy duty PEDs than meldonium. The difference, of course, is that Ortiz is around 100 years old and Fury was as weak AF after coming off a crash weight loss program.
I think Povetkin catches him in the middle rounds and drops his no stamina, no defense having ass. Fury exposed Wilder for the mediocre boxer that he truly is.
I was thinking that and then I thought it was some baiting troll thread. Sasha still too skilled. If he can do Whyte a couple of years later then I think it's the same result. Wilders got a punchers chance but he's unproven and I think that's for good reason.
Wilder lost every round against Duhaupas and Ortiz and still KOed them. The only weapon in his arsenal his his killer right and he is good at landing it. I say Wilder lands that right and finishes off Povetkin although Povetkin is the better boxer.
Wilder signed a contract to fight him in Russia and Povetkin couldn't **** straight. Shows what they both thought of their chances anyway.
How? He couldn't get an obese out of shape Fury out of there and Fury is a huge target. It's making the assumption that Wilder can land which he did most of the time against static or elderly opposition.
Povetkin by brutual KO in the first 3 rounds. Far superior boxer all round than Wilder, heavy puncher (Wilder's avoided heavy punchers his whole career) and would put Wilder on back foot rendering him helpless and chin check Wilders glass jaw. I think Povetkin can come retirement now and beat Wilder nevermind in his prime.
