Nunes was graceful in defeat. The lost will do her good. I think she was getting to comfortable and look just to bomb out her opponent. Pena fired back and and wouldn't go down. Nunez blew her load and gotten taken down and choked.
She didnt get choked, she just quit. She took alot of punishment and didnt want anymore. The rear naked choke wasnt sinked in.
She tapped from the choke. She was going out. Pena had mouth and nose covered. She either tap or she goes lights out. I didn't say choke out
It wasn't under chin but Nunez was spent. You can put someone out if their mouth and nose is being squeeze tight. Pena had Nunez mouth and nose.
Against Germaine de Randamie Amanda also froze when she was getting hit back and went to wrestling. Juliana has a ground game. Amanda looked like a female Mcgregor, no cardio and folded looking for a way out when someone scraps. Juliana has always been a scrapper with no fear.
Peña has an incredible jab and it really ****ed up Nunes’ striking. She jabbed like a female MMA version of GGG.
My immediate thought was that it was a fix for the betting money, but Nunes was jelly legged after eating a few jabs so maybe not. . .
Conor shows far better "head movement" than Amanda, he slips shots Amanda just tried to walk through them.
I'm glad the hype train is over. She was never the female GOAT. Valentina should hold wins over both (despite being smaller than either) and should've been the 2 division champion, not Amanda. As for the fight itself, my god that was sloppy. Amanda clearly didn't put in much work. No gas tank whatsoever. It's not exactly like Pena was throwing bombs. She tapped from exhaustion.
