No, Tony won 12 fights in a row, then lost to Gaethje, then he lost to Oliviera. Then he lost a subsequent fight to Dariush. Big difference. I actually agree that beating Chandler was a bigger win than beating Tony. But there's no need to misrepresent what happened.
Easily. Poirier is better than Chandler and Ferguson. But not just that, Chandler should be fighting at Featherweight and Ferguson was washed up when Oliveira fought him. This was a HUGE win for Oliveira. He's by far the sport's P4P king. I don't rule out Conor and Justin's chances against him, but the only fighter I'd pick with confidence to beat him is Khabib. I will say, though, that dirty glove grab in the 2nd Round might have won Oliveira the fight. In my opinion, the win comes with an asterisk. The ref should have halted the action and stood them back up. Horrible foul that changed the course of the round and the fight.
Nah, Conor is. Conor was already kinda washed up when he met Khabib. But he still lasted longer than Poirier and Gaethje COMBINED. He also rebounded by KO'ing Cerrone at Ww. Not an enormous achievement. But probably not something Poirier could have done. Conor's hubris has costed him against Poirier. Conor's the better fighter - when he has has it together.
