First time since 2014 for Knockout to have two consecutive KO wins.

 

100%, just a modicum of discipline and stamina would have left him with every tool needed to not just do it, but do it with a dominant flourish.

 

I'm so confused. Maybe the ref didn't want to give Paradero time to recover to help CP out?

This was one of the most "Thai minimumweight boxing" fights I've seen.

 

He absolutely did, you're right.

I also just think Niyomtrong looked shittier in the 1st round than he did that day; not as focused...maybe relapsing to his Boring UD Period. Then after getting shellacked for three rounds he found that fire again in the 4th and 5th.

 

Him versus Tanaguchi would be excellent. It's high time for the division to have some damn unifications!

 

Oh how I wish Saludar was the one who was given this shot.

 

Oh yeah, read about that result in the other RBR ...poor Bimbito. I've always liked him but have at the same time always known he was just too damn feather-fisted (even for 105!) to stay on top for long. Plus, since he was badly hurt and dropped by Aragón it seemed only a matter of time until he got chin-checked.

 

To my understanding the fight was fairly competitive despite Mendez getting dropped and taken a point away. The long layoff definitely played a factor today.

 

So weird...it ended up being kind of both the mismatch I thought and the upset you thought. I wouldn't have believed the former if not for seeing his red-hot form against Deebook, while you probably based the latter at least in part on having not seen it and just remembering all those phoned in performances (combined with, guessing a high regard for Paradero and by extension Saludar and considering them on a par with "UD CPF"?)

Paradero deserves a rematch considering he won ¾ of the completed rounds here (the first two in monstrously one-sided fashion) ...but we can probably safely assume this was the last Thailand stamp in his passport for a while.

 

If he beats Rosa the WBA could order him to face Knockout.

 

yeah hopefully Vic wins. I have no idea how good Rosa is. Young buck fighting at home is always a tough out.
