A bit off topic, but DAZN conquest continues. Good news for Matchroom Spain as well. This content is protected
This as well as the serie A rights is evidence alone that they are not bailing out of the UK anytime soon. They are a player when it comes to major sports rights and even if they don't get a deal with BT sports over the line they will just wait it out until the next rights contract goes to tender. A UK business can survive without football for a few years when they can leverage the global business against it.
They should be on 'welcome home' card together for there next fights. Big show for the hometown heroes seems the most logical thing to do.
Credit where it’s due and Ortiz v McKinson, Jacobs v Ryder and Conlan v Wood are all decent fights on DAZN early part of the year but let’s not say ‘these couldn’t have been made on Sky’ as they definitely could.
Jacobs is on $2/2.5m for the fight and Ryder a fair few quid. The only way that gets on Sky is on PPV they havent paid those rights fees for a long time
If Dazn IPO’d right now the firm would be a penny stock. Hearn’s business will be bankrupt within 5 years, mark my words
