You know what? I never liked the way Top Rank were pushing this guy down our throats as Manny' successor years back, but I have to say, that Donaire might be the most exciting or watchable fighter of the last 10 years. He will be missed when he calls it a day. Fights anyone, Carries massive power, comes to destroy, is a genuinely good guy, and the revival of the last 2-3 years after seeming like he was done, had been a joy to watch. He's got a great ring IQ, IMHO. Knows he has power but bides his time with it. He's the kinda guy I hope goes out with a KO win whenever he retires. A true joy to watch.
You know what ? Donaire looked 3X better against top 10 opponent than Inoue with top 50 opponent I would not be surprised if Donaire beat them all, including Inoue.
He KOs Casimero then only right to rematch Inoue for undisputed in that division. He’s the only person in that division that has a legit shot of defeating Inoue.
Definitely became a big fan of donaire in recent times, It's quite a pity for the less informed in boxing as Manny was always touted the pride of Phillipines which I felt sort of overshadowed Donaires achievement in the sports. Both deserving of a place in the HOF in my opinion , and what a big testament to the heart and warrior spirit of these two boxers to continue fighting to such a old age and STILL be bringing the fight to these young guns. Love to see it!
