The funniest thing about his winning though was that 6 months or so later it was revealed by the papers that the married Giggs had, had an affair with his brother’s wife as well as other women. In fact when he had an affair with some Welsh woman who took part in the Big Brother tv series he went so far as to go to the high court to get an injunction to not only stop the papers from revealing the identity of the mystery footballer that everyone was talking about but also to stop football fans at the matches from shouting out his name and exposing him as the secret love rat player. Lol. Can you imagine how stupid and desperate that made him look? If all this had happened just months earlier, there’s no way anyone would have voted for him.

You are then taking in England the best 60 players from a regular participating talent pool of 5-6 million. The top 60 players in England will all be earning more than £5 million per year per tax in wages alone. That doesn’t even include sponsors. To be the best 60 from 5-6 million is a far bigger achievement than being the best 1 out of 10,000. Do the maths. Also do you care to guess how much a mens hockey player gets paid? I doubt they even get more than £50k per year.

I don't at all. I deal with these type of people all the time and they just live in a different world. These types are so media trained you wouldn't even recognise who they really are. Linekar is clearly one of those rich 'liberal lefties' who secretly votes Tory.
Saw something yesterday I'm sure it was talk sport where the guy said Tyson should have told them to stick it which he did but when they didn't listen he should have campained to win it all over social media got the public to vote for him, then turned up on the night and compleatly embarrassed the agenda bias BBC by doing a Bowe with the award and throwing it straight in the bin. That would have been brilliant.
