All time pound for pound Lomachenko has not done enough to be in the top 30. The question is pretty absurd.

He's challenged and beat the very best in his weight class.... and the division above.... and the division above.... and the division above.....

He's got an amateur record of 396-1

He's got the most insane footwork of all time by miles. The guy's a genius. Ranking him outside the top 30 seems bitter/hateful - what more can he do to please you??

Most definitely, SRL had the 4 kings. Loma had the 3 Messiahs. Campbell, Linares and Loma. If Thomas Hearns (one of SRL's best wins) was the same size as Linares and landed a chopping right on Linares's chin, Tommy Hearns would bleed out from all the lacerations he incurred due to projectile shrapnel from Linares's chin shattering.

A KO without landing a single punch.

    And Duran was the man!

He’s a great technician with amazing skills. I don’t compare active fighters to historical ones until they retire. Very few guys in boxing have his competitive spirit (Usyk is probably the only other guy) and willingness to fight much bigger guys without max hydration restrictions.

Canelo has been moving up to figjt bigger guys but when he moved to SMW he didn’t face the best fighters. When he moved to LH, he somehow avoided Bivol and Beterbiev. He’s now moving to Cruiser to fight a guy no one would confuse with the best int he division. At LH he didn’t look any smaller than the shell of vodka soaked Kov. He’s still young and I hope to see him fight the top guys. He has a chance to make history. If he loses to one of the top guys, I’ll still respect him for taking the chance. I hope he settles at a weight and unifies the belts, and defends them like a serious champion not a sideshow act.

Either way, I would rather wait until fighters are retired before comparing them to ATGs. If Usyk beats Fury convincingly, I’ll be tempted to break my rule. The mammoth size difference and legit skills of Fury wouod make it a historic accomplishment.

This is not an all or nothing situation. I am not saying anything bad about Loma. The man is a great fighter with an incredible skill set. He is also just 16-2 with one win by majority decision and other fight where he got knocked down. There is nothing at all wrong with that resume but if someone is going to be considered the P4P GOAT of the last 125 years or even in the top 30 after only 18 fights he better be nearly freakin' invincible.

But its not 18 fights, its 415, and he's arguably won every one
