I'm so damn sick of hearing about these guys ameteur careers and people using that to place them in ATG status. Am's mean nothing when ATG rating come into play. 16-2, 3 division champ, beat maybe 1-2 guys that will go into the BHOF. Nah, not enough in my book. Loma should have been sitting at the grown up table instead of messing around in the AM's for so long. He had the skill to get ranked as a top 10 ATG, but hasn't done enough pro work to be considered. Too bad. Would have been nice to see Loma in the pros after his first gold medal.

He's gotta be up there. Needs perspective. Ask again in 10 years.

Im a big Loma fan, but p4p Pac has a way better argument to be the goat. If im not mistaken he started his career at 97or 99lbs? Since then he went on to win championships in 8 different weight divisions, lineal in 5 of them. Including a strap all the way up to 154. He ended his career in a championship bout at 147. P4P, there are very few resumes who can match that, if any.

Well he’s the GOAT in amateur boxing, but as a pro he’s around the top 3 to 4 hundred I’d say.

    Wonderful thread, comrade Beouche

Loma is a technical wizard and magician with absolutely sublime, otherworldy even, skills and his special effects and magic tricks are mesmerizing and his footwork is simply majestic. He's a truly beautiful boxer with a very unique style, an absolute joy to watch, and the things he does in the ring are a constant source of amazement to me. There's not a boxer on the planet who even comes close skills wise and trust me deep down every single one of the Jealous Jeremy and Envious Eugene haters knows that too loath as they are to admit it.

The way he is able to move in and out of range and blend attack with defence with that baby kangaroo reach of his is supernaturally good. It takes an incredible amount of skill to do what he does.

If everyone was in the same weight class, based on skill alone, I think Loma would at least be top 5

If you hate Loma, you don't love boxing. Period.

I am starting to grow on Usyk and I agree, if he beats Fury, he gets big props from me.
