been my favorite hw since he debuted and followed him the whole way but yea he underachieved he had the handspeed chin decent power good combo's.. if he just would of had good ring iq he could been a real beast. however i think he wins saturday and hopefully gets a joyce or other big name next.

He's poor man's AJ : same attributes, same lack of killer instinct but doesn't pack the same punch. Still a solid top 10 heavyweight though.

Classic underachiever. Seems lazy and disinterested at times. I believe he has more potential than shown.

I'm didn't vote, too one way or the other. Because like some have essentially posted above...

It may be some combo of both, part underachiever, part just not that good enough. With a better result vs. Whyte or with a dash of luck I could see Parker winning a belt again - but not holding on for long (again). See exhibit A: Ruiz, Andy (who Parker actually edged).

    Neither.

He is good and his ranking for several years now has indicated such.

I keep saying I'll stop following Parker but it's the week of his fight and it's looking like I'll be tuning in for it.

    Yeah I've gone off him.
He still hasn't found a way to get inside against longer guys.
His feet are still a bit slow.

Not that good to begin with but has decent speed and a good chin. Rubbish sporting intelligence though. I think the best he looked was vs Dimitrenko, then Whyte.

I think he achieved about on par with his ability, maybe slightly over.

These guys I feel beat Parker easily.

    2018 Ortiz.
    Fury.
    Usyk.
    AJ era Wlad

These guys would probably beat parker.

    AJ II
Joyce (Come forward fighter hence I favour JJ)
    2015 Povetkin
    Hrgovich
    Sanchez.
    Wallin
    Huni
2015 Kownacki (Pressure fighter hence I favour Kownacki)

    These are pick ems

    2012 Arreola
    Ruiz II
    Whyte
    Bakole
    Wilder
    Ajagba
    Makmudov
    Dubois
    Kabayel
2017 Martin (Am I the only one that thinks he's a decent southpaw who'd cause trouble for JP? Though I lean JP slightly)
2021 Kownacki (Egg cracked but still believe his pressure style has JP in all sorts)
    Hunter

These average boxers Parker would win but make look a million bucks

    Fa 2
    2017 Price
    2018 Dave Allen
    Babic
    Arias
    2020 Arreola
    Gorman
    Stiverne
    Cojanu 2
    Paul Gallen

Won the title an easy way, realistically wasn't really good enough to hold it. On a level just below Dillian Whyte. Certainly a contender but not good enough to mix it with the elite (e.g. Fury, Wilder, Joshua).

If Parker loses to Chisora this weekend, he should lose his Top 10 Ring rating and be replaced by someone like Helenius or even Yoka.

Parker has been taking up space for years. He hasn't beaten a ranked heavyweight in more than five years and that was via controversial decision at home.

Even Kownacki was rated in the top 10 by Ring when Helenius destroyed him the first time. Yoka's on the rise.

Time to start turning this over.

Too many Shawndell Winters and Razvan Cojanu's. Chisora has nearly a dozen losses. The fact that this fight required a rematch is a bad sign.
