    Round 9

    Madrimov is zipping in & out, plugging away on the body of Soro and getting tapped on the crown and orbital bone with gavel combinations when he bends over and leads in with his face lowered. Soro having an excellent round - but Madrimov starts to explode with flurries of his own after catching him with another high arcing right, and has Soro backing into the ropes, bell rings but ref doesn't hear it and Madrimov lands several late shots, and the ref WAVES IT OFF! What a mess!

    1. Soro was surprised by Madrimov's sudden offensive burst and may have been hurt and did let some punches go unanswered...but he was probably winning the damn round until that point, and he was hardly on the cusp of getting one-shot KTFO.
    2. He should have been saved by the bell!

    Who are these Brit commentators again, I forget their names? I believe Adam Smith on play by play (or maybe not Smith, but somebody else with a generic English name and voice) and somebody with a thick (Scottish?) accent on color. They've been doing Sky and DAZN for a long time, whoever they are.

    Anyway the play by play guy is calling this farcical. They're questioning whether this should be restarted, and saying it should never have been halted but also they aren't sure the precedent should be set that a team can alter the official's call on the field just because they shouted the loudest.

    It seems like the ref is on the fence about reversing his decision. Which if he did would be nuts, as there has now been a nearly ten minute interruption of the action.
