I'm a big fan of amateur boxing and I've been following the likes of Beterbiev and co since 2008 when they were still in their physical primes and had way less miles on the clock and I really wish they'd turned over four years earlier because they were just as capable if not more so of having the same success in the pros back then. Beterbiev was a freaking monster down at LHW

Because he isn't begging for a Canelo payday. He wants to unify. Everyone else is running away.

It's everyone else (including me) who are beating the drum for a Canelo fight.

Okay but then why not call for Bivol or JSJ?

I know you're experiencing a high after the Bivol performance the other day, but to put things into perspective... Damien Hooper beat Salamov. Not only does Salamov lose to Craig Richards, but he loses to almost every Brit Light Heavyweight in their top 10 at the moment. Oh yeah, he also gets schooled by Marcus Browne.

Beterbiev is not the sort of person who calls people out.

I think that might work in his favour. Canelo hates people who call him out for a pay day.

Very true. Only an Aries or a Pisces would willingly go to war against an Aries or Pisces

He wants unification fights. Watch his interviews.

Bivol is going to be fed to someone in Hearn's camp (Buatsi maybe) or hang around again for a Canelo fight.

Joe Smith wants nothing to do with Beterbiev. He ran a mile.

Bivol is small and less fast, tricky, never bent, dirty than Brown. Im with you on the prediction buddy

Beterbiev applies pressure that just breaks the will of his opponent. After a slow first couple of rounds Beterbiev slowly amped it up coralling Browne against the ropes and methodically breaking him down. Browne couldn't hurt Beterbiev nor slow him down. Artur just kept walking forward and measuring. Great knockout. I was worried they were going to stop the fight on cuts but thankfully they did not.

That is harsh. It went longer than some thought it would but he got a quality fighter out of there inside the distance.

bivol beats him. arthur has no more timing. he sees the openings and they are gone before he can fire. he needs you stationary where he can catch you with volume. i did not see one counterpunch from him, it was all set and throw. he will follow bivol around waiting for him to stand still so he can throw and not get countered silly. hes done.
