Who knows. If he had lifelong training in MMA he wouldnt be anywhere near as good at boxing as he is, so his biggest advantage over MMA fighters would be gone.

What about his size and reach? He weighed 277lbs in his last fight, has an 85 inch reach and is around 6`9.

Maybe, if he had lifelong training in MMA he'd be similar to Tim Sylvia but better on the feet, how good would his grappling be though and where he trains would matter. Brits are always going to be behind in the wrestling department due to it not being a big thing here.

If they all had lifelong training in MMA I believe Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, Tyson Fury, David Tua, Anthony Joshua, Larry Holmes, Vitali Klitschko and George Foreman would do pretty good.

He'd have to cut to make the 265lb limit.

Obviously his size would probably help him, but its not everything, see Struve, Schilt and Hong Man Choi who were even taller than Fury but didnt exactly make waves in MMA.

True, Schilt did become the greatest heavyweight kickboxer of all time though. Tim Sylvia wasn't the greatest heavyweight of all time but he is somewhat underrated and got far with his height (6'8) And basic boxing skills which of course wasn't on Fury's level but like you said earlier on if he had lifelong training in MMA he wouldn't be as skilled as he is in boxing.

I doubt he'd need much training at all to take over in MMA. The Heavyweights are pretty terrible. And most were failed Boxers. Obviously, they have been training so much more, but they are far from complete. The best all rely heavily on their punching power, and size disparity.

Fury's biggest problem would be making weight.

He's already massive, and training for MMA he'd add a lot of muscle mass.

Wilder would also wreck house in MMA.

Wilder and Fury as of now would get their legs tore up with kicks and they don't have the time to learn enough grappling to get very far. Anyone in the top 15 beats them unless they choose to just throw hands and abandon any other tools which guys like Walt Harris and Greg Hardy would likely do.

Seen this before, Pele was a very good points fighter but his talent did not translate to full contact kickboxing or boxing as much. He had a good look though.

Wilder`s legs would be destroyed by leg kicks.

Fury and Wilder would never have become as good as Gane.

Why not? What does he do that you are so impressed by? He's also ridiculously smaller than them and easy to hit.
