He was only offered about £18k to box Bronco McKart in the states after the fight went to purse bids so he relinquished the belt instead.

Puts on really outstanding coaching sessions across the country these days. I attended one with my Nephew, who is a trainer. Brilliant.

To be fair, although born in Scotland, Murray was a Canadian citizen.

Not an Alphabet Champion but a Lonsdale Belt holder, Tony Willis never gets a mention. Terrific, aggressive Box/Fighter. Olympic Medallist too.

Ryan Burnett, always felt sorry for him against Donaire as he started brightly, and I think that was going to be a good fight before the back injury.

He’s a good shout. Good fighter

Definitely man. He was so talented. Cruel that his career ended far too soon, would have been interesting to see how his career panned out, no doubt he'd have been at world level a long time. He achieved a lot in a short space of time unifying world titles at a young age. That Donaire fight was warming up nicely, 50/50 as to how that would have gone.

Although he was never a World champion -- having been denied by Virgil Hill and Michael Nunn -- I wonder how much of a mention Crawford Ashley gets on this forum.
