Canelo beats Beterbiev comfortably.

I'll tell you what I understood better yesterday: that a 50%, badly cut Artur Beterbiev smashes Ginger's face in and sends him packing.

 

I dont konw. Beterbiev is physically A BEAST. I cant recall a 4p4 stronger fighter than him. Canelo can win? yes, sure, he's hell of a talent. Easily? I doubt it.

Beterbiev's boxing is very simple compared to canelo's. But it is a very disciplined boxing, and his physical strenght is so brutal that it's enough for beterbiev. Brutal power, brutal gastank, solid fundamentals, reach advantage. That's not an easy fight for noone, no matter his talent.

Maybe a huge reach, incredibly talented p4p fighter can make an easy fight out of it. But that's not the case. Canelo has not the reach advantage.

 

Not even a prime, juiced to the gills RJJ would have an easy night against Beterbiev.
You probably have to walk trough fire to beat that man.

 

I think Canelo could beat Beterbiev, but its probably the most dangerous and toughest fight he can take at this point.

 

1,5-2 years ago i was picking AB all day long all night long over Clenbuterol. But i'm not so sure anymore in 2022. I think AB is declining rapidly and he's turning 37 soon. Long amateur career...a lot of injuries....

tbh, had I to mention a fighter that could make an easy fight out of beterbiev, I would say Roy Jones. Imho beterbiev cant even touch prime roy jones.

Beterbiev is physically a monter, and RJJ's chin is pure china. But to ko somebody you need to hit him, and beterbiev fights in slow motion compared with roy jones, and beterbievs boxing compared with RJJ's is like ABC compared with world champion's chess. Plus roy jones is no canelo, he's not as small, roy jones has the reach advantage on beterbiev.

Imho roy would toy beterbiev all night long. But canelo is not RJJ, with RJJ's size.

Canelo WILL NOT fight Beterbiev for at least 18 - 24 months.

So talking about something that is unlikely to happen with that timeframe is pointless.

By the time it does happen Beterbiev will have grey hair and be pissing into a plastic bag.

If the fight happened NOW Beterbiev wrecks Ginger.

Ginger lost twice to a Middle ffs.

 

Canelo will never fight him

 

GGG at 160 hurt Canelo a couple of times in their rematch. Beterbiev will KD him at least once. There's a reason Canelo avoided 175 and went back down to clean out the scrub division of 168 for the last 2 years.

 

Beterbiev has better technique than RJJ.

 

gg's boxing is better than beterbiev's. More complete, more complex. Gg's boxing is better than beterbiev's in every aspect imho. Distance, footwork, defense, offense, feints, ring positioning.... I dont see anything in beterbiev's boxing better than what gg's boxing has. Same size, I would favour gg over beterbiev any day.
