Bizarre comment but it betrays uncertainty on AJ's part: if he only lost by a small margin boxing Usyk (assuming 3 rounds is a small margin) then maybe there don't have to be big changes in the rematch, maybe he doesn't have to put it all on the line to give himself the best chance. But do he and his team (whoever they are now) really believe this?

Fully agree. about being under and over rated.

He did really well getting the belts but always looked a bit vulnerable to me. never looking that confident in his body language and facial expressions.

He should have switched up after getting the first belt getting a top trainer as an investment for his career.

Having someone telling him he's doing brilliantly when he's clearly getting beaten is not helpfull and has created the delusion that we see now.

 

I think they did and are doing all kinds of trainings, conditioning, boxing, endurance etc, they work with best scientists, top trainers etc. But everybody has a potential. Probably AJ used his max potential, however it was not sufficient to beat Usyk.

 

Yeah he's been vulnerable at every aspect of his career imo. Whyte, Wlad, Takam, Povetkin, Ruiz, Usyk all have exposed some level of vulnerability about him.

I thought he was ballsy going straight in against Ruiz again but I think Ruiz took a part of AJ that's never coming back.

 

I was hoping you meant the road to a fight with Wilder. I was feeling the hype.

 

This will age well if he stops Usyk in 3 rounds on the rematch because trust me if he get to Dr No in Usyk he will go.

 

What AJ actually said if you listened to his specific words was if I had won 3 more rounds(that is on top of the rounds he did win) he would have won the fight which is true. AJ did not say he needec3 more rounds as in increasing the fight to 15 rounds from the 12 rounds.

 

Why tell the truth when a lie sounds better. That is not AJ said.

 

I simply don’t believe that, given how much artificial muscle mass Joshua has. No sports scientist would be telling Joshua that his size is a good thing. There are many examples within other sports, way more lucrative than boxing, which also have the best nutritionists, scientists, trainers etc, yet some push themselves and dedicate themselves more than others.

That’s not to say that Joshua is some slouch.

 

If AJ ups his aggression, he gets knocked out.

Were you following him after he loss to Ruiz? He was saying complete bs during interviews and had a complete persona change. This has happened before and people were saying the exact same things you were about him. Then he bounced back and made me a **** load of money in the rematch
