It is truly exhilarating being able to discuss two of my favorite hobbies at once!

Right now Ishant Sharma is my favorite bowler because he represents Capitals.

Obviously Dev is a legend, but I always believed Srinath had more potential. He put the world on alert to Indian pace bowlers. If he hadn't suffered injury who knows what would have been. But again, India has an obsession with batters.

I do wonder if old time bowlers speeds were exaggerated. And I believe Srinath's injury is a testament to the risk of pursuing speed. I enjoy the technique and art that comes with spin bowling.

 

@Richard M Murrieta and @RulesMakeItInteresting have already just so happened to have posted excellent replies that align to how I see things also.

You also know my position from previous posts. To streamline my reply further, I say an emphatic NO to the posits in each of your 5 paragraphs. So that’s a total of 5 X NOs and add an exclamation mark to each NO for good measure.

And you have “emojically” (not a real word….yet, but it will be) conveyed another irrefutable NORDIC fact.

The Swedes were the true originators of the “wave” though there have been other false, try hard claimants since.

Specific credit going to the iconic 60s Swedish DJ Sven Daggsson (and who could forget him?) who always knew how to get the funk out of his funksters.

The “wave” was just one of his many artistic and creative crowd pleasers.

Stage diving? Ya, ya, that was Sven again.

Unfortunately, one night, when somehow, every other audience member was caught unawares, a tragedy ensued. A gleeful diver met his “end”, to be specific, a concrete floor 5 metres below.

Over several years, Sven was eventually cleared of all charges of negligence but he was too traumatised to reintroduce the stage dive ever again. Thus his due credit as being the inventor of same has been lost over time.

I am a man of many parts but the one part Swedish is that of which I am most proud.

 

I recon it probably is too. But It was a stoppage rather than a count out wasn’t it?

Liston would have to try hard to miss Cooney's large Jay Leno sized head with his long powerful jab which would no doubt puff up Cooney's eyes and give him something to think about. Cooney did not fight tall and often went to the body. This would just give Liston opportunities to throw body shots of his own or use his thunderous uppercuts on Cooney's mediocre chin.

They rock each other a few times in a thrilling mid range war for about 3 rounds. Cooney slows down from the devastating punishment he's receiving and his rapidly depleting gas tank from the high pace and shots to the belly. Liston is nailed by a desperate wild hook, stumbles, suffers a very bloody nose, then batters Cooney mercilessly into the canvas like he stole something from him.

 

This is actually the most likely scenario in my mind.
