    Mugabi's first title shot WAS actually against Hagler... he didn't win the 154 title until more than 3 years later!

    Thanks for clearing that up. That was my idea too, but @mark ant's post looked convincing... didn't check it.

    edit: here we go on Mugabi's wiki page... he didn't win his first belt until 10 fights later in '89.

    In fact he went on a eight fight stoppage streak spanning three divisions from his fifth fight

    And the only reason it wasn't longer is due to injury and being compromised after returning from injury and surgery
