Most likely outcome is Hearns by KO. But I wouldn't rule out a Pacquiao win. Dude really shouldn't have fought above 140 and he spent a decade at 147.

These fantasy matchups, like Pac - Hearns and Mayweather - Hagler are involving fighters who started out campaigning at Welterweight and Middleweight respectively, and considering that Mayweather and Pacquiao were considered relatively small Welterweights I don't really see the point in this. We can compare Duran, and at a push SRL but otherwise we should be talking about Sweet Pea, Oscar, JCC, Pryor, Arguello, Azumah etc.

Tommy way too big and powerful. Manny takes another long snooze on his face

Hearns would smash Pacquiao to pieces, easily. I actually wouldn't even rule out a win in the first round. Before he got to welterweight, Pacquiao was always weighing in two weight classes above the weight he was fighting at. Iirc, he was a JWW for the Barrera and Marquez (1) fights. Hearns himself wasn't able to cut much weight. He came in the ring around 152. Pacquiao himself has come in around 149/150 a few times. The weight difference isn't all too big. It's the height, reach, speed and power which is the problem. Hearns would either walk Pacquiao onto one, or attack him relentlessly like he did Duran or Cuevas and take him out early.

Also, as a side note while looking for Pacquiao's in ring weight at 147, I found out he weighed more than DLH did on the night. Wtf

I didn't realise Pac boiled down so much. With Oscar, I'd say that's more down being a complete psycho and coming into the fight in terrible condition, which would account for his abject performance that night (that and already being past it). I knew he was drained but not by that much, why didn't he rehydrate properly?

I love Many and have the highest level of respect for him as a fighter. A true ATG but Tommy was too long, too skilled and one of the best. He made a. I’d take in the first SRL fight and fought the wrong fight. I would take Tommy over Manny and Floyd at Welter.

Tommy knocks both of those guys out at welterweight. He was a beast in his prime. Excellent boxer who could punch. Often chose to punch versus box against guys like Hagler but even in his losses, he was a real warrior. Floyd and Manny were great but I’m taking Tommy all day against both.

Tommy is a great fighter without taking into account size, then you take size into account and it's too steep a mountain for Pac. At Welterweight, only real welterweights with an iron chin (Pac had a good chin but wasn't a welterweight) and a good punch can beat Hearns. And even guys with an iron chin can fall to Hearns.

People can’t help but imagine Hearns vs the lazy, stationary Duran who’d turned boxer.

Errr How old are you 10yrs old?

If a wasp was the same size as a tiger it would win.

If a puppy was the size of a house it would beat a giraffe.

Hearns cracks Pac like he did Duran (who had not been stopped before) face down into the canvas.

It's no shame on Pac it's just Hearns frame and power and technique are all wrong for the Pacman and would lead to a visit to the Shadowrealm.

Love Pacquiao, but he loses this one early. Stylistically wrong for him.

what an extremely bizarre reply, i have no idea what you're waffling about. Or what anything you said has to do with my post.

    Are you that dense?

The point of my response is that there not the same size so it's irrelevant.

That's why there were two equally facesious facimiles below that.

Pac-Man ready made to order for Hearns but to be fair most people are ready made to order for Hearns that is the brutal truth the few who managed to beat him including a few ATGs paid a terrible price.
