Cause some of you first didn't even know what the WBC splits are, you especially and second trying to make that Fury has the cards, where in reality all the cards are on Whyte.

As far as Whyte goes on i don't give a **** about him. He is a solid contender that is a good to have in top guys resume. He is no more than that. Just a good name in your resume and reality check.

The fight is either 75-25 or 70-30 in favor of Fury.

Also Whyte shouldn't have that so call "avenge" of his loss, as Povetkin was barely walking. The whole rematch thing was a complete b.c.
He clearly lost to Povetkin, and the fight was booked as a straight up mandatory fight, and all the dangerous fight talking, and the poor guy has rematch clause for a non title fight, which is a complete joke.

Still there is no better name currently for Fury, so this is the best possible fight for Fury.
Also rules are rules. 55-45 split. If Fury doesn't like it, drop the belt, make a fool of yourself once again and go fight another tomato can. It's simple as that.

Don't forget "lost to McDermott" lmao

Fury's already beaten two 10+ consecutive defence world champions (never done before in history) in dominant fashion, in their backyards as the B-side, who were also the two biggest punchers in heavyweight history, fighting them a combined 4 times and not losing once. He's had all of the belts and never lost them in the ring. His comeback from drug addiction, morbid obesity, mental illness and 2.5 years of inactivity has few parallels. He's already got a solid claim to being the GOAT, no one 20 years down the road will care whether or not he fought a nonentity like Whyte. The Usyk fight is the only interesting one left, beyond that there's nothing else to prove.

Have Chisora or headbutt-concussed Parker ever been in with a puncher like Wlad or Wilder? The biggest puncher Chisora was ever in with was Haye, who blasted him out within 5 rounds. And this was a Chisora who wasn't shopworn or in his mid-late 30's. Whyte has 1 KO against his 9 best opponents, only 2 of which haven't been stopped before or since.

Well I guess we would have found out if Wilder hadn't been busy beating up women, which caused Wilder v Chisora to be cancelled.

87% KO ratio, H2H monster, Vitali is also considered a big puncher, so going the distance is a good sign. And there is no shame beating the count, and then the ref stopping the fight against near prime Haye with something to prove.

Honestly, I can't believe you are questioning Chisora's chin.
I'm not sure why Chisora is even being brought up here.

I'm curious why you think they wouldn't just elevate the interim champion to full champion if Fury drops the belt.

What grounds would they have to make it a vacant title?

If they say, made Whyte champion then force him to fight Wilder, that would be 70-30 split in Whyte's favour, wouldn't it?

Also I'm not sure Wilder wants to be getting in the ring with a top 5 opponent after the beating he just took. He's been talking about retirement. So he probably needs time to recover and train, and maybe even a warm up fight.

@lordlosh beat me to it. But it's plausable that if Fury drops the belt, Whyte would be elevated to full title holder.
Then if he is ordered to fight a WBC contender, he gets a champions purse on PPV in a more winnable fight.
Or he can listen to offers from Joshua
Or he can listen to offers from Usyk

Fury dropping the belt would be the best possible outcome for Whyte, and the worst for Fury.

Like many, I expect this to go to purse bids.

I believe they both have form in the woman-beating department so Chisora couldn't be too upset.

Vitali didn't have a dynamite punch like Haye, Wilder or his brother; he was heavy handed and got stoppages based on accumulation. The ghost of Briggs went the distance too, albeit with significant damage and the injury prone Vitali was even older, 40+ when he fought a fresh Chisora. He had other advantages in facing significantly weaker opponents than Wlad and turning pro at 25.5 after a very successful amateur career. There is shame in being KO'd inside 5 rounds in your prime by Haye, at least if you pride yourself on having an iron chin. Chisora beat the count but he was all over the place and unable to continue. This was also a far cry from the Chisora of 6.5 years later.

Like him or hate him, whatever he does with the WBC belt, Tyson Fury will still be the Lineal Heavyweight Champion of the World, unless he retires or is beaten in the ring. :deal:

    Just like Shannon Briggs was...

What if Lewis comes out of retirement?
    Serious question

That means fury would lose out on undisputed as he will have lost his only real title. and Usyk want's to be undisputed which means he would need to fight the WBC champ.

This is what Fury does best, not defending his titles.

A better question is, why would anyone drop the WBC belt?
