What if prime GGG and prime Lomachenko were in the same weight class

GGG would have those same advantages minus the hand speed. GGG at the same size as Loma Would still be bigger and stronger, and would still have the tools to stop Loma in his tracks.

Loma would beat the crap out of him. Lil G would take much worse punishment than Canelo 2 and Derevyanchenko fights.

 

With size difference like this....what they'd look like meeting in the middle...could change their look completely. Loma is not going to be as fast and mobile as he is at 130-135 in much higher weights. And 3G at 130-135-140... who knows

We’ve seen Loma knocked down even with all of his fancy footwork. Never once seen Golovkin on the verge of quitting or being close to knocked down the way Loma dismantles his opponents. Eventually Golovkin would catch him. Loma would have some flashy moments early but with power in both hands, G wears him down.

 

He wouldn`t have the reach advantage that Lopez had, Loma reach 65.5inches, Linares 69, Lopez 68.5 and GGG 70.

 

Loma is P4P better than a prime GGG, he`s more skilled.

Basically Linares and Lopez had a reach advantage over Loma, GGG has a 70 inch reach, Linares has a 69 inch reach, if Loma is made bigger, a natural middle then his reach has to be enhanced too.

People always seem to forget that comparing people at different weights does not mean a lightweight automatically brings that speed up or power at a lower weight to a higher weight class, psychologically speaking a lightweight will be faster than a middleweight, a middleweight will also hit harder than a lightweight just basic human characteristics.

Scaling up or scaling down is all down to flawed human perception.

 

If Loma is made bigger....how he currently fights is NOT how he would look much heavier. He fights how he does based on his body. Change that...you change the fighter's style. That's the problem with hypotheticals between guys w/ a big weight difference

 

Yes, YES this is how I see it

It's obviously a close fight, but GGG had a mean body attack and his jab is sublime

I honestly think I would favour him over 12. If they fought a few times they would split fights, but I have GGG

 

two ATGs would probably cancel eachother out.
