Who would have won? Could Beterbiev's size and strength have overcome Roy's superhuman speed and reflexes?

"where is roy jones? I didnt see him"

Beterbiev's first words after getting up from the canvas.

Beterbiev looks like fighting in slow motion when you compare him with RJJ. Yes, RJJ packs china, but you cant KO china **** if you cant touch it. And you cant ****ing touch anything when you fight in slow motion.

Only thinking about comparing both footworks makes me laugh.

Beterbiev would be so slow, Roy would see him in slow motion like Quicksilver.

Beterbiev by brutal KO. Roy Jones was a hype job with low level fundamental skills. When his reflexes gone, pathetic losses came.

Roy Jones Junior comfortably and decisively.

There are levels to this game, and Artur as good as he is, is just a level or two below Roy.

    A hype job?

Who went 15 years unbeaten, whilst barely losing rounds to world class fighters?

It was nothing to do with his lack of skills. It was his style which was highly unorthodox and built around his incredible athleticism.

He didn’t change his style to compensate for his age. But then it’s hard to do something like that when you’ve done the same thing for 25 years of your life and you’re living in the moment.

His diminished reflexes and punch resistance left him extremely vulnerable.

It left him exposed and defenceless.

None of the above is relevant here though, as we’re looking at a prime version of Roy.

Roy would had to have been made a significant favourite here due to his incredible speed and and style.

Artur would have needed to have pinned him down to have gotten the job done, but I think that Roy would have been just too elusive for him.

    "hype job"
    "low level of fundamentals"
    :risas3::risas3::risas3::risas3::risas3::risas3::risas3::risas3::risas3:

Another ignorant thinking that "fundamentals" means "to have your hands up". There are plenty of fighters with his guard up with horrible fundamentals, dude.

Fundamentals means balance, feet and legs positioning, displacements, ring awareness, defensive responsiblity (defense, not guard, not the same), good cinematic chain....

Roy Jones was a freaking monster in all that. Specially when we are talking (as we do now) about prime roy jones, who was a freak of nature.

Your comment is the same as saying that Dostoyevski was a bad writer because his letters were not beautiful and rounded like girls letters. Dostoyevski could write with beautiful letters if he wanted to, but he didnt need to, as well as roy jones could have fought with his guard up if he wanted to, he just didnt need to. To say that your comment is a stupid comment is to be too generous, tbh. You should be ashamed.

Jones pretty easily. He could handle a guy like Beterbiev.

    Ha!

There’s been a fair few threads over the past month or so that I’ve only read.

The Monzon one being one of them.

I’m not familiar with this guy though. Only that he’s a fan of Canelo’s.

Is he a troll, or is he genuine?

Prime Roy is a handfull. People say he packed China only see the KO's
The reality is Roy only became vulnerable after coming back down from Heavy losing 25lbs of muscle before that his chin was fine although he would rarely get hit due to his speed.

So prime Roy wins. Beterbiev beats the version that came down from heavy.

For someone with a china chin, he didn't seem to have problems with it before HW.
