it’s going to be funny hearing Hearn talk his way out of this.

I know it sounds like a joke but it actually makes sense for Warren he know’s Avanesyan probably beats the living **** out of benn and it would build up Avanesyan‘s name with the casuals.

I would love to see this fight. Can’t see team Benn going for it.

Benn should go for it. He can beat Avanesyan and really start to shut the haters up. Loads of you have wanted Benn to fail as soon as he laced his gloves up it's pathetic. He doesn't need to box. Never has done. He certainly isnt doing it for the money. He boxes because he loves the sport, got nothing but respect for the young man, hope he keeps winning and moving forward.

It's more the Hearn talking up as a legitimate world title challenger now and match him with commentators and such. Nothing against Benn at all

Hearn is just doing his job. Don't take it so seriously.

Won’t be hard. Hearn has to deliver fights that casuals will watch and attend. Unfortunately although a few boxing hardcore know avaneysan he doesn’t have the marketing tool Hearn can trot out for an opponent like mo hooker who is a former world champion and lower risk.

I don’t get why Frank doesn’t do his job for avaneysan get his profile up against essowman which is a simple fight to make by franks logic he’s in the same boat as Benn. Surely he would want to promote Ekkow properly and give him the shot at the EBU. Make that fight and then a couple of fights against opponents the public know to build Ava profile. Maybe formella and stop him something Benn couldn’t do.

or spend a few quid and get him the eliminator he’s already been called for. Don’t hear Frank moaning too much about Ortiz taking another route.

Just promote your guy and raise his profile

True but by constantly putting his name next to Benn, who you have said does great numbers, is doing just that isn't it?

It's probably nothing more than a PR stunt on Frank Warren's part, but it's smartly thought out.

Conor Benn does not have a chance against Avanesyan.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall listening into Hearn and Benn discussing this one. You can just hear Benn saying "let me at him" and not giving a toss about the boxing politics but it's probably at the point Hearn has to try and ignore it.

Frank trying to promote his man on the back of Hearn’s “star” - shock. Avenasyan is well positioned for a world title or a final eliminator at least so why not chase that? Every man and his dog knows the Benn fight isn’t happening, go for a world title or sit round talking about Conor Benn for 2 years.

I know you're camp Eddie and that is fine, but I don't see the problem with what Frank is doing here. Its a good fight and if Benn won, it would show the world that he is a legit contender. No problem with what frank is doing at all tbh.

I have seen Hearn basically say twice now that Benn is not ready for Avanesyan.

There is the added issue here that as AJ is towards the end of being a PPV star, that Hearn can’t risk losing Benn as his next PPV star.

So he has to match him incredibly weak and avoid any potential losses at this stage.

Hearn needs a headliner for PPV shows and Benn is that man now.
