We don't know how good Moorer was at light heavyweight. He looked like an absolute monster and to top it off he was a southpaw but im pretty sure Beterbiev would have also laid waste to Moorers opponents at 175. You'd have to favor Beterbiev on credentials but Moorer did move up to heavyweight and had success which i highly doubt is something Beterbiev could do even at cruiserweight so there is that
Beterbiev wins, both are overrated but Moore is as overrated as they come at lhw. He was skilled but he was really drained, picked up a belt that didn’t mean much at the time, and fought bums. At least AB beat Gvozdyk and got two real belts.
Two of the most powerful guys at 175 ever and also two guys that have been hurt by much lesser fighters but found a way to win. I'm going with MM in this one even though he didn't have that storied of a career at 175. The man showed me plenty north of 175 for me to be comfortable picking him. If he can handle Holyfield's strength, he can handle Beterbiev.
Hard to know. Moorer almost exclusively fought pushovers in defense of his then still minor WBO belt. But when going up towards HW became a 2 time champion beating some big names, but getting iced sometimes too.
More or less this. I favour Moorer on skills but the intangibles and the physicality are with Beterbiev. The question is whether Moorer could outbox Beterbiev all night or whether Artur could pile up the damage enough to slow Moorer down and wipe him out. I think Beterbiev has the more proven record at 175 so I'll tip towards him with the caveat that Moorer was a standout fighter who could win as well.
