Biggest fraud in boxing between Wilder, Theophane, or JLeon

Wilder can beat everyone in the division bar Fury. He's a wierdo who does weird things.

Every bout it's a case of "He can't keep getting away with it!" but he does.

 

Why've you included Ashley Theophane? He never got remotely hyped - not even compared with J'Leon Love but especially Deontay Wilder.

There is a bodybuilder in HW. He took a boxing lesson from a CW. I think he is.

 

Interesting case here, as Wilder >> Love >> Theophane in terms of their p4p h2h ability, but also the same striation applies, Wilder >> Love >> Theophane, in terms of how overrated they are.

Theophane was a little better than straight-up domestic level - the sort that could either win or lose against most Commonwealth title challengers, or against fringe world contenders, but would always beat the upper crust of journeymen and likewise always lose to elites. Nobody to my knowledge had ever propped him up as being much more than that. He was if anything an overachiever, slightly.

Love was a real enough contender as far as talent goes, just was missing some intangibles to be world championship caliber. Again, he was pretty much always seen for what he was.

Wilder was the third best heavyweight in the world for a long time, which is quite something for somebody with so little skill, riding on pretty much just sheer power. He is a greater and more h2h effective fighter than Theophane or Love (but less skilled than both) - and yet his worth was also the most overinflated, as some people actually thought that not only was he #1 on the planet during his WBC reign, but some fans went so far overboard as to claim that he would knock out most champs in history.

 

Not one person thought Theophane would beat Broner.

That was viewed as another cherrypick, IIRC, like Rees.

 

Wilder is certainly no fraud just see his incredible grit in the third Fury fight

 

Thousands of guys in the pros have that much grit, doesn't mean they deserve to be world champ. And with his skillset, if matched less carefully, conceivable that Wilder wouldn't have been.

 

All I will say is Wilder’s right hand took him a long way a very long way so not bad for a basketball player.

Ashley Theophane had a great career one that would not have been foreseen beforehand and I remember he did win the British title and fought for the world title.

As for J’Leon Love you have got to love a guy with a name like that. What needs to be remembered is that’s it’s the exceptions that win world titles it’s not the norm.

The 3 guys are not frauds. What have you achieved in the boxing ring? It takes a man and a warrior to step into the ring where lives have been lost.

 

Never said he deserved to be a world champ but there is no way he is a fraud .There has been far worst world champions than him

If Wilder is a fraud wouldn't logic dictate Tyson Fury was a fraud since Wilder is one of the two people that Fury ever beat worth mentioning.
