they can wait all they want but if fury drops the belt he ain't a priority for the winner. usyk will go for all the belts.
Here's exactly what Fury and his team are trying to do. First they want to fight a tune up fight against someone beatable. They will try to do this while also trying to keep the WBC belt by claiming the arbitration is upcoming and the % that Whyte is asking for, is too high. If the WBC actually allows them to get away with this, then they will just await the winner of the Usyk vs AJ fight and they will claim that a unification fight trumps a mandatory defense. Whyte gets screwed, Fury gets his big money unification fight and they seem like the innocent party to all of it. Hopefully the WBC actually stands their ground for once and strips Fury to foil his plans. Then I hope the bum or gatekeeper that he picks, beats him in an upset. We will see what happened in the next two weeks
This is precisely what they are trying to do here. Another tune up fight and then they will try to skip Whyte again and go for the Usyk vs AJ fight. I am not fooled at all
My understanding is there is a time in which to exercise the rematch and it looks likely the rematch will be in April 2022.
I think this is mostly negotiation tactics, but it will be interesting to see what spin Fury fans will come up with if he drops the belt to fight someone in the lower top 30 instead.
I don't think Fury wants to fight Whyte or the Usky vs AJ winner. Furys had plenty chances to fight AJ and Whyte before and turned them all down to fight lesser opposition. I think Fury rather fight schwarz, Wallin, Wilder and Pianetta level guys two times more before retiring.
Well unification is the name of the game Fury v Usyk is the one to make So yeah, they all playing politics/3d chess between the varied promoters, alphabet orgs and the fighters themselves Never would happen but: Fury v Usyk with AJ vs Whyte on undercard to see who gets next crack at it
I agree. I expect him to fight Whyte next, somehow. I'm not sure what a "lower top 30" would be. He won't get much credit from me for fighting a bum like Whyte, so if he drags up someone I've never heard of there's no excuses. If he fights someone better than Whyte, maybe.
I wouldn't complain much if he fought Joyce. Probably is better than Whyte. Whyte lost any credibility he might have had when he was sparked out by an ancient Povetkin.
The same Povetkin beat the crap out of bodybuilder in first two rounds and f*cked up his nose. Whyte was outboxing Povetkin until KO and took his revenge in rematch. One punch can change everything, I can't blame Whyte the bum.
I wonder what the bodybuilder got for Christmas this morning. Probably a bunch of lynx africa deodrant cans and some puny pink dumbbells sets. Lol that home alone video is hilarious.
Aside from the fact that Haye is beyond shot to bits, Fury wouldn't give Haye the payday or the attention. He still resents Haye due to the pullouts and surely didn't like the fact that Haye picked against him in all three Wilder fights.
21-0 Kabayel beat Chisora more comfortably than Whyte did either time and hasn't been KO'd by a prospect or a shot 41 year old.
